Think Karim will beat Chris in the dance off and Anton will win the final. In the final it’s the public who have the final say whereas in the regular shows it’s the judges, that’s why the judges will ignore public opinion and vote Chris out if he’s in the dance off and public opinion will see Anton win even if Emma isn’t a patch on Kelvin who should win at a canter.
Apologies for quoting my own post but for once it looks like I was bang on the money, I wonder if the rest will come true next week!

It’s been mentioned a couple of times on here the massive public support that Chris had, well evidently that’s not the case if he’s been in the dance off two weeks running.

It was rather a foregone conclusion when Chris was up again Karim in the dance off. Even Chris jokingly asked if he should just go home now. smile

The fact Karim was in the dance off ,shows he has not endered himself to the public at large ,he is just too good for the spirit of the program .
I think Emma and Anton have won the public hearts , and it is good the judges are sidelined for choosing the winner.

The performance of the judges is getting worse every week. With the exception of Craig (who looks more and more embarrassed) the other 3 seem to think the show is all about them with minor interruptions for some dancing! The BBC could save money by only providing Craig with a seat as the other 3 don't bother with theirs!

agree here too - Motsi gives lists a few problems with a dance (think it was karim) and still gave a 10 - they are judges, not fans of the people dancing. craig for me is the most realistic judge.

Agree completely with the last 3 comments.

Aside from Craig it's a circus. Craig brings some proper judgement to it and if he does have an oversized ego then at least he's left it in the dressing room.

Bring back Darcey.

Craig has always been required to play the Pantomime Villain, but he's always come across to me as someone with a lot of heart and integrity, who genuinely cares, and who behind closed doors would be the nicest person you could meet and would go out of his way to help and mentor. That's certainly my impression.

Now, on the other hand, Len Goodman, cuddly loveable Len, always seemed to me to be a nice facade on a thoroughly nasty and vindictive man. But again, just my impression.

I share that impression. Even when he delivers a scathing verdict on a dance he'll often drop in a little positive anecdote at the end. He does come across (and I appreciate it's an edited entertainment programme) as a nice person. I'd even be quite happy being called darling by him biggrin

Craig's always been like that: starts his assessment with what he thought was wrong then finishes with what he liked and what he thought they did well.

As others have suggested, he's really the only one worth keeping on as a judge. Shirley certainly needs to go.

That’s giving good feedback for any role where some kind of assessment is necessary. Stick to a few key points finish on a positive note.

It the corporate world Craig would be the leader that people ultimately respect, even if they are slightly fearful of him. Hes firm, not afraid to call people on their mistakes but isnt a hard task master that cant give a compliment or recognition of positives. Shirley would be the Dave Brent type person who has favorites, tries to be everyone's friend, but ultimatley no one likes and no one respects.

I have also liked Craig and dont like the "panto villain" they try and create around him. He is the most geniune person there.

Oh and Len I have heard he was a proper behind the scenes.

Didn’t len get really angry on a live show once years ago? I’m sure I remember thinking wow, where did that come from?

Spot on analogy. I guess that makes Motsi the crazy tea lady and Bruno the company jester!
Always thought Len had a chip on his shoulder with the odd snide comment thrown out now and again just to show he was head judge.
Keep Craig and get 3 people who can leave their egos at the studio door.

BTW, if you liked the music for Karim's Quickstep, it's by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. It goes without saying that they do it much better than Dave Arch and his band do. smile
