Watched the 2nd episode yesterday and Homelander had me cringing and laughing at the same time at the end.
Exactly that, cringed, laughed and clapped. I think Anthony Starr is very underrated. I watched a few behind the scenes episodes and I think there may be a little Homelander in him in real life. Vincent-Vega said:
I've just had a Duurrrrr I am an idiot moment of realisation that Homelander is the guy from Banshee with his hair dyed blonde and a shave.
Two and a bit seasons without a single thought of that.
Good actor I think that means.
Yeah, he does look quite different with the dyed hair but the crazy eyes are still there Two and a bit seasons without a single thought of that.

For anyone who hasn't seen it, Banshee is well worth checking out. Awesome show.

Caught up to Ep3, poor Timothy.
Every scene with Homelander is properly tense. Hard to watch. Butchers accent is all over the shop (still) and it feels like the writes have heard a bit of English slang but not really understood it. Somewhat distracting.
On a related note I just finished Peacemaker, miles better than the Suicide Squad films, genuinely warm, funny in places but with loads of swearing and graphic violence.

They've won a 'Tech Not Terror' award from PETA for using CGI and not harming a real Timothy the Octopus https://twitter.com/TheBoysTV/status/1535046632449...
It is a real thing, they've previously given the award for CGI tigers in the Joe Vs Carole series about Tiger King.
Anyway, episode 4 today, I'll be watching it later.

As a grown up, professional human being that is old enough to have had sex and children, I'm embarrassed to say I got up early today just to watch episode four. Alas, not available yet on Prime. I've really enjoyed all 3 seasons so far. It's very good.
Although this episode was the first in which I hoped they had a decent finish in mind. Obviously they're somewhat following the story of the comic but have gone off piste in several areas. I would hate it to become one of these lingering shows where the writing becomes an exercise in prolonging the gravy train, rather than telling the good story. The latest episode felt like it opened up another avenue, hopefully that goes somewhere definitively.
