How the heck did I forget that? ! They were well ahead of developments in those days - it would have been pretty well "out there" as storylines go.

Easy to forget as it was one of those story lines that sort of got forgotten and the writers in true Corrie fashion lost their way with the plot.

That's not what happened.

Hayley worked at the freezer centre with Alma. Alma introduced her to Roy and it was only after they became close friends that she revealed she was transgender.

It was a very good storyline and groundbreaking, showing the difficulty in revealing her gender, the rejection and latterly the acceptance by her colleagues and neighbours / friends.

One has to admire the tenacity of the Weatherfield Plod. Robert screws up his description of the ring "robbery" so many times but PC OCD just keeps investigating. Must be a slack time for crime in Weatherfield!

So Robert gives Tyler's dad £2k then tells him to do one back to Ireland. Gets to keep the £2k though eh!! Another trip to the money tree for Robert. The Robert character is such a bad liar. Every time he "gets caught out" he stumbles around for an answer then comes up with one which is so crass it beggars belief. The whole storyline is a joke!!
