I've been watching Corrie on and off for 60 years, and that's the first time I've realised that you can hear normal conversation through someone's front door.
That has to be one of the more ludicrous moments we have had, even more than the half arsed fake funeral in the first episode.

Todd's ex has now been ttted over the head with a piece of wood twice now, is this going to be a thing for him? Like Sideshow Bob getting hit with a rake?

Ray's plot is thickening, I knew that the property market in Manchester was on the up, didn't realise it was booming as far out as Weatherfield.

I thought that, clear as a bell too....mind you, the doors are probably only made of cardboard.

I think Mick will be doing us all a favour if he bumps "Todd" off.

Does Kev forget that Ray treated Abbie like crap.

Is Ray still running his bank of high end hotels or just concentrating on a back street bistro?

I struggled to tell them apart, neither looked like Todd used to. Would have made one of those confusing gay couples where they are like a clone of each other.

It's not like he would get away with bumping him off. He has told anyone who would listen that he wanted him dead and is clearly from the Corrie stock of Manchester hard men who have an A level in drama, so would be known to the police.

A bit of background info on the actor who plays Mick, I always find this stuff quite interesting:-

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0068430/

He's 50! Isn't he meant to be like 30?

Can't say I remember those other appearances though.

I thought tonight's two episodes reached a new low in plots and acting. The fake funeral story, the encounter at Eileen's and the dodgy property deals were pathetic. As if the plots aren't bad enough the "acting" by new Todd and his baddy man boss was a joke.
Get a grip Corrie you are going rapidly downhill!

Agreed, it was simply awful, sub am dram stuff. God only know what the decent actors (such as Mary ) make of the rubbish they are required to spout . Mind you, it probably feels like Macbeth for new Todd.

The fake funeral was a new low- it's hardly as though anyone would notice a hearse , coffin and a floral Todd tribute on a busy street is it ? And yes , Gary must have the hearing of a bat to pick up the unpleasantness in the Grimshaw household - but presumably the eyesight of one too not go have noticed the hearse ?

I was pondering over my tea and toast about this whole malarkey of Ray and his property purchases. Offering three times the value is mighty suspicious.

This is my conclusion - he's got wind of a change in the planned route of HS2. It's now going to have a spur ending at the existing Weatherfield tram station, rendering the immediate surrounding area very attractive to high-powered businessmen and international men of mystery. I could see they would like to live in Victoria Court, but not the 2-up 2-downs (which we all know are like the Tardis, but they don't).

Methinks Ray plans to demolish the whole shebang and construct a large luxury hotel for the potential new clients. No more Street - we'll have to endure a new form of Crossroads. I loves you Miss Diane.........

With his starting offer of only £150k for the newly refurbished factory it could only go one way! It ended up at a closer to believeable £400k.

Even though I replayed the bit between Garry and Kev I still couldn't understand what the heck had happened and what they were talking about, it was all mumbled voices, something about rent and ripped up bits of paper.
If Ray bought the garage from Kev, why was Garry getting increased rent and on what? I've definitely missed something there....

Lol!

"I'll offer you 150k"

"No"

"Oh, go on then, 300k"

I wish I had Ray's money smile

They were discussing Gary's second-hand furniture emporium, which had previously been a second garage of Webster's Autos until it was burnt out. I'm guessing there are collecting agents who have submitted the increase in rent, and Gary was not aware that Kev had sold to Ray, but you'd think that the agents would have had the courtesy of advising a tenant that there was a new owner.

Understandable given the sheer volume of daft stories going on at the moment. So Gary won't sell the factory and is happy to live off the proceeds of his furniture empire! Yeah like that is going to happen!

Gary getting beaten up with a metal bar and coming out of it with a bit of dirt on his head.

Also what's up with that hipster guy, can't go to his usual barber in town so ends up on Corrie, because there's no other barbers in Manchester city centre

Trying their best with the social distancing shots but it just doesn't work with couples stood apart in lines.
What a palaver. Ruined Corrie.
