It is a golden rule of Corrie that if somebody gets a speaking part , they will be seen again , so expect more hipster content .

I know I should feel sorry for Shona but I don't . She was always as common as muck , gobby and crass, with no filter between brain and mouth .

And God above but new Todd just gets worse - he doesn't deserve a walk on part in am dram - surely our best soap 's casting crew can do better than ( yet again) scraping the bottom of the thespian barrel ?

Yes, I half expected Gary to be beaten to within an inch of his life, not just get up and walk around ten minutes later.

Regarding the Todd storyline, I haven't heard a single person say this is a decent plot, everyone says the acting is atrocious, can't believe the writers dreamt his return up using another actor, they didn't need to even bring him back.

Poor Johnny looks like he's aged ten years these last couple of weeks.

Ah I see, thanks. I must have missed an episode sometime.
Understandable given the sheer volume of daft stories going on at the moment. So Gary won't sell the factory and is happy to live off the proceeds of his furniture empire! Yeah like that is going to happen!
To be fair that is Garrys 'lovable rogue' type persona, he tries to go straight, but runs out of money so goes over to the dark side to make some. He knows right from wrong and has helped out quite a few people over the years so it's putting him in his usual position of what to do as he does care.
I was looking incredulously at the screen though as Ray unveiled his master plan of building a skyscraper, tell me that wasn't serious laugh

Are the Soap Awards next year going to introduce two new categories
1) Crapest Actor: difficult one this but top nomination at present goes to "New Todd"
2) Crapest story line: Again difficult but a joint nomination for the development/ buying up the street and baddie man chasing New Todd and touching Gary lightly on the head with a baseball bat

If Ray wants to knock down the street and build an office block, he has my full backing.

Gary wanting the million quid contract for foundations on a new skyscraper, what with his previous technical expertise selling 2nd hand furniture and doing diy.
Methinks it's not happening anytime soon...

Haha. Just caught up with the latest rubbish and spotted that.
Wondering why I'm bothering with these now since the old Corrie I'm watching is so much better!

.. and he was still slumped on the floor in the exact same position when we returned to the furniture superstore after PC POB's questioning of Eileen. Then all of a sudden he got better.

Its a miracle!!!!! Why doesn't the factory work on a vaccine for Corona virus. I am sure they could develop and manufacture one within days!!

I’ve got a vague memory of Phelan saying something like “come on Eileen, think!”

Having a mother called Eileen I can tell you the reason.

It is simply down to watershed. They simply could not broadcast the carnage, blood and guts that would be unleashed by telling an Eileen to "Come on Eileen".....

Struggling to watch it these days, it's either plain daft or plain stupid as a storyline.
Gary and the skyscraper
Todd in the loft
Rubber nose and his 4 kids
Daft geezer wanting to rob people all the time with MS Jonny.

Tonight's highlight a big bald guy shouting at Tim for his husband...

What's happened to all the decent storylines like Phelan etc?
The exorcism was mildy funny as Mary plays a good part but it feels like the writers have now totally lost any coherant threads/plots.

Possibly need a break after many years enjoying the mix of humour and storyline.

Whilst this is always on in our house, it only ever peaked my interest when Michells and Carla were in scenes together.
