Never knew about this until now which is strange as the family were die hard Corrie fans back then and remember visiting Granada Studios in Dec that year and watching the Happy Birthday 30th Corrie special on ITV. But I don't recall ever seeing this Birthday Lecture special on TV on Christmas Day. According to the listings it was aired on Channel 4. I suspect nobody remembers it as they would've been switched over to ITV and BBC1 for Eastenders and Corrie.
