Is that true? I’m watching via sky and I go through to star and it just shows their curated selection of titles. If I want to browse through every documentary they have, how on earth do I do it?
In my browser, on my Android App (and I'm pretty sure on my TV via Roku, certainly never had any issues) I can see 'Originals', 'Movies' and 'Series', going into one of those then gives me a list of genres that pulls documentaries from everything from Star to Nat Geo. There is even a HDR/Ultra HD section.Compared to Amazon and Netflix it's the cleanest and easiest to navigate for me.
What doesn't work (particuarly compared to Netflix) is typing a genre into the search box. It suggests you should be able to do it by genre, but 'Documentary' returns nothing, 'Horror' only returns a handful of titles and I know there are more.
With all these services though, I rely on Watchlists mainly, particularly as I watch in different places across different devices. For Amazon Prime in particular it's basically a necessity as their curation is absolutely horrific.

I just hopped on to take a look at Star, streaming through my PS.
Is it just me or is the UI terrible? I can't see anyway to actually see what is on easily, I can't see a search facility nor can I see a simple way to navigate it.
Just switched it off, I really can't be bothered to trawl through.

Just click left and a sub menu will show up then select shows or movies or the magnifying glass to search.
It will then show all films or shows across all the sub tiles they have by genre.
Although there is no functionality if you click into the Star tile first then try to search for stuff.
On the home page drop it down to one of the sub tiles like Disney, a menu should pop up on the left.
Move onto it and it should expand, then just move the cursor to the 5th icon down which is for series
It will open the Series menu and you can select what you want to watch.
It's broken down by genre across the top and includes all the content available on D+
I don't think there is a way you can search for say just Star specific stuff though, although the search function has some pre selected collections that include some National Geographic stuff.
It's pish.
Mine was due to renew on 24th, but I cancelled it over the weekend. It just doesn't have much I want to watch - and Star didn't change that.
I concluded that I'd rather use the money for Now TV (although that's a bit more expensive) since that seems to have lots of series I want to watch.

Dopesick.
I think it’s on Disney+ in the UK. Looks like a good show.

Yep the first two episodes are.
Really enjoyed them - you have to concentrate as there are three stories zipping back and forth in time - but it’s looking good so far. I knew the basic story but the detail is pretty incredible…
I’ve just joined Disney + for Get Back - part 1 out this weekend. Going by the trailer it’s going to be incredible…
Getting quite a bit of use out of D+ now, they really don't hang about getting movies onto the platform. Went to see Free Guy at the cinema, a week later it was there, ditto Shang Chi. I see Jungle Cruise has also appeared recently.
I'm guessing Eternals will arrive before Christmas at that rate.
Looking forward to the Hawkeye series starting in a week or two.

I'll probably bin it at my next renewal.
Mando was great but the Marvel stuff was variable, I never finished Winter soldier, Wanda and Loki were ok but I'd not go back for another series.
I'll probably get the odd month and binge the new star wars stuff when it comes out but I'm just not getting VFM from it.

We have two young kids (6 and 9) so it's getting plenty of hammer here.
I'm finding more on it that I want to watch than on Netflix (never found anything so never lasted beyond a free trial) or Amazon Prime (the odd bits and pieces come up on this, but not very much - if it wasn't for the Amazon delivery stuff I'd bin it).
When my FiL used to question my sanity for not having Sky, I used to note that we don't really *watch* that much TV, that we could find perfectly enough ste to watch on Freeview and if there were films we wanted, we'd just grab them on DVD.
This more or less still stands.

I'm surprised that more Marvel shows are now being put on Hulu (Disney's side hustle) though I guess it's a good way to add more adult themed series which otherwise Disney would avoid?
They are currently debuting 'Hit Monkey' the animated series, which I think is going to be followed up with three more characters, one of which will be Howard the Duck. All sort of in the theme/style of Archer.
First season is pretty bang on.

Not sure that’s it, ‘dope sick’ is pretty adult. Episode 1 has a junkie offering blowjobs in the car park. Not quite Cinderella.

American Horror Story, The Hills Have Eyes, The Walking Dead...I think the initial fears that Disney would hold back adult Fox content have long been dismissed. Not quite Cinderella.
People were suggesting Die Hard wouldn't even make it, guess what, it'll be on there on December 3rd once the existing agreement with another provider expires.
Watched the first two episodes of Hawkeye at the weekend, enjoyed that and will continue watching. Much 'lighter' than the other series and, as far as I can tell, it's going to be far more grounded and 'low level'. Not a bad thing though, in my opinion. Hailee Steinfeld is clearly going to be a bright part of the MCUs future.

Assuming we're talking Die Hard 2, that shouldn't be allowed on TV outside of December anyway. Just like Christmas decorations People were suggesting Die Hard wouldn't even make it, guess what, it'll be on there on December 3rd once the existing agreement with another provider expires.
