Yes, but miles better than the other ones.

Hawkeye is quite enjoyable.
Looking forward to Boba Fett as well.

Just watched the final episode of Hawkeye. Doesn't seem to generated much discussion here compared to the other series, maybe because it's a relatively grounded and low level story compared to the others, but I thought it was great and my favourite of all the MCU shows so far.

Very funny, great action, interesting story and some great new/returning characters including a surprise or two.

The new Hawkeye and Black Widow had great chemistry together, I assume we will be seeing much more of them in the MCU as the end felt like a real passing of the torch.

It’s got it’s own thread….

Initially posted on the Netflix thread but The Rescue is very good.

All about the Thai boys that got stuck in a cave in 2018.

no talk of the Fett?

opening was ok , not great IMHO - i'm amazed how many fights end up hand to hand combat when they have blasters and lasers and prob some drone stealth tech they could easily afford and use to kill someone - still, its nice to be back seeing some new star wars.......

1st episode syndrome I think, solid but clunky as they build and establish the world. Personally I hate flashbacks and think they are overused(in general) I'd would rather they tell story chronologically

For a 38 min ep it went very slowly.

I don't see why we need the Boba backstory. We already know from Mando that he escaped the Sarlaac pit and the armour ended up with the Jawas.

agree carl - there is a thread on here somewhere about Fett - i'd have preferred a prequel type series with him on slave 1 working for anyone who hires him (although this is basically the Mandalorian) leading right up to the empire strikes back scenes ;-) i'm not sure it being set on a planet with scum and villainy to deal with each week is going to hold me to it a lot - and as i said before the now almost formulaic fight scenes in every disneymarvel series that they seem intent to put in every episode.

Signed up at the weekend for the kids, pleasantly surprised at the choice of films etc for adults - personally I have no interest in Star Wars / superhero stuff, but lots of decent drama on there

At this rate, it’s staying. Started watching 24 again - crazy that it’s almost 29 years old now!

Also very impressed with picture quality

I know nothing of the character, but I like Oscar Isaac and this does look interesting apart from his dodgy accent.

Moon Knight looks fantastic from the trailer.

Eternals has already popped up, I see. I'm fully sold on cinema (with an Odeon Limitless pass) but I could see why people would happily take a pass on Disney releases in the cinema now, they've really cut the theatrical window for their own releases.

I have to say, Moonknight has piqued my attention. I was so disappointed with the first three MCU programmes I never bothered with 4th, they used up the goodwill they banked. But Oscar Isaacs doing a cheeky lil English accent (home counties/somewhere in that london?), playing a loony? I'll tune in for the first ep if I still have D+ by then.

Its quite funny really. Going back to my youth there are so many st characters at marvel and dc but they are all valuable now.
Everyone is too scared to invent anything new for fear of being sued by someone.
So we get a claptrap useless comic from the 70s or 80s made into a film.

I was actually a Moon Knight fan, I collected his comics when I could, I always thought he was what Batman should have been, of course he's never been popular compared to the big names, but he's really interesting. There's a fair bit of gold buried in those old comics that were sometimes too complex or ahead of their time for a mass market.
Proof is in the pudding though.

Not sure how much Gaspard Ulliel actually appears in Moon Knight (as Midnight Man) but he's managed to get killed in a skiing accident.

"The Wonder Years" simular idea to the original but with a black family in the 60s. I wasn't 100% sure but it really works IMO

If anyone is around Leeds centre, they are filming Sam L Jackson's Secret Invasion series this weekend.
It maybe be a chance to get on the show in the background.

Big Sky new season (3 eps so far) seems good so far, rather enjoyed the previous season.
Annoyingly it’s 1 ep per week on a Weds so can’t binge the lot biggrin
