Best option. It'll never be a core service like other ones as it's always going to be kind of static in comparison. It'll be more like renting the Disney catalogue for a few days and then leaving again.
Maybe. The MCU stuff are going to be around 6-8 eps long and released weekly. If they open them one after the other, that's half a year. As well as other SW stuff and whatnot.bloomen said:

If I found myself logging in once a week to catch 40 new minutes having watched everything else I wanted months ago I'd start to question why I was there. I guess the soul crushing repetition that kids demand would probably keep enough people in place. Zirconia said:
I wonder how they get their services on the quick button, must have cost Netflix or did the TV manufacturers see it as a lead.
They pay the hardware manufacturer to be on there for Roku at least https://mashable.com/article/roku-button-home-scre...New date, 24th March says press release.

The price is pretty fair but you'll still need to be very into Disney, there is just not the bredth of content here.
Mandalorian was good but no idea on a second series, The Cassian Andor series is not due to 2021 and who knows for the Obi-wan series. No new Marvel until end of 2020 then a very short 6-8 episode series.
And all in the Disney mould (so no Adult themes like Punisher or darker).
I may pick it up for the odd binge of stuff I really want to see but i think it will be a month a year.

Not a bad plan for the year and a decent monthly with 4k as I understand it from the off.Mandalorian was good but no idea on a second series, The Cassian Andor series is not due to 2021 and who knows for the Obi-wan series. No new Marvel until end of 2020 then a very short 6-8 episode series.

I have held off everything Disney for a good few years now, ever since I guessed this may play out this way. I have a lot to watch. Years supply for me is the cost of three 4k films on disk.
Then I will see where I stand and probably dip in on occasion. I will get more out of this than Netflix.

then it looks good, if they have some sort of discount offer for early birds, I can see me getting it. Never had neflix.

The bit in bold got me thinking, will Agents of SHEILD (if there's going to be another series) be a Disney+ only release?Mandalorian was good but no idea on a second series, The Cassian Andor series is not due to 2021 and who knows for the Obi-wan series. They're dead Dave. They're all dead. All Marvel TV is dead. The war is won, Feige beat...buugrit, can't recall his name, but the Marvel TV boss.
From here on out the MCU telly is the only telly there is, first one seems to be Wandavision, set for release this year.
I'm currently watching a video on Falcon and Bucky

We're due a 7th series of AoS which will be its last series. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agents_of_S.H.I.E.L....

One more season of the absolutely stunning Chloe Bennet.

I hope that we do get that.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agents_of_S.H.I.E.L....
I have to say that so far I'm not really 'feeling' D+. I want adult content (a la Punisher rather than Emanuelle) rather than a never ending stream of 'safe/family friendly' fare
Sky rumoured to be close to a deal for a bundle rights.

I expect the reach is greater with Sky vs BT, Apple Virgin etc. The others can carry the app. I expect Sky will have a big push on at release if this is correct but I don't know what Sky 4k is like, which is my main interest. BT has a problem as it cannot do HDR10 over its existing box, Sky have rolled back live sport HDR (not sure version) and don't know if they do films in HDR? What can Virgin do? Which means for me the best experience is expected to be the Apple TV.
Though none of that will matter for the NowTV and SD/HD crowd.
