My wife thinks I'm being an arse (and I am, probably), but 'brassic' should, IMO, actually be 'boracic'.
That put me off straightaway too.
You lot are fun.

A reminder. New series (4th) started tonight. Enjoying it so far.
Fantastic.

Imho of course it is the best comedy out there by some margin.

The episode where Vinny cant sleep is still very very funny

Are there any ways to watch any of the series of Brassic without being a Sky subscriber?

It is shown in the US on Hula, so maybe sign up for a free 30 day trial? Just remember to cancel on day 29!

On Now TV with an entertainment pass, or I'm sure it will be on some IPTV providers show list.

As said above, Now TV. I think it's like £7.99 for the entertainment package, just cancel it once watched.

The conversation Vinni has between himself and his imaginary companion going down the stairs... and falls out with himself hehe

Its those bits, and generally anything involving Cardi that crack me up.

“34% was always enough”
Thanks, I’ve lost track of the context, what did she mean exactly

I don’t think that was ever clear. Had a quick look online and everyone seems confused.

I thought it was a paternity test result percentage maybe but the internet seems to think it’s to do with Vinnie being bipolar so only ‘himself’ 34% of the time.
Vinni and Erine joked about 34% of the time he could make her really happy - in the scene when he was lay in the coffin before faking his death to Mccan - It also relates to the lyrics of the song that was playing in the previous episode.

That would be funnier if I hadn’t quoted a new post

Although yes I did go to check.

Before the program, I had heard people occasionally say they were Brassic, it works better than Boracic as its one less syllable and Brass is a slang word for money anyway.

Language evolves, and there aren't any set rules for rhyming slang, it gets adapted, was originally "cockney" but its pretty much all across the UK.

Remember trying to explain it to a visitor at work when an east mancunian colleague referred to someone's "Manky Newtons"

Manky, northern, maybe Manchester word for rotten/disgusting.

"Newtons" = Teeth, as in the district of east Manchester "Newton Heath", which is where I was born, in London its Hamsteads, as in Heath.

Its all a mixture, English, Polari, Rhyming Slang and mancunian, they do it with style, Vinnie calling someone a "Wittering tt" I think it was, marvellous.

Got four left to watch, good, brain out stuff, basically like a rude Last of the summer wine really.

Series 5 is currently being filmed, or so I've read.
