Well firstly, all the definitions are the same, expect the one which suggests it's a derivation of 'brass monkeys' (and is rubbish).

Mainly though, it's the bit that claims 'brassicus' is Latin for poor.

yeah, some of them are meant to be jokes, look at the contributors name.
But brassic meaning cold is a thing, it's like being starved. Brass monkeys could be the originator

I'll take your word for it smile It strikes me as a word that somebody has misheard/mispronounced and now a very few people think it means something that it doesn't. wink

Brassic meaning cold is certainly 'a thing' in my neck of the woods.
Regularly hear such phrases as 'it's a bit brassic out'.
But that meaning makes little sense in the context of the programme. wink

You’re right, it should be boracic, it was Cockney rhyming slang, boracic lint-skint, but everyone rolls it into brassic.
I didn’t see the show, but my wife watched five minutes, thinking it would be an Only Fools and Horses type thing.
She said, “It’s bad enough all that Northern tosh, Peaky Blinders, and Coronation Street, but when they nick our slang, then murder it in those accents, it’s too much.”
Not big on geography, then?

Last night we got to Episode 2 of Season 2 - I don't think I've laughed and squirmed so much in a long time.

It truly is a brilliantly imagined, performed and produced piece of TV. Just when you think that something else really gross cannot be funny.......

....well, it hits you like an errant road sign...... rofl

You're in luck, even though the whole thing is brilliant, series 2 episode 4 is the funniest thing I've ever watched. I was watching late at night with the rest of the house asleep and had to put a cushion over my face to stop me waking everyone!

Yes and yes, the new series is a total step up from the first, which was great anyway.
