Ethnic sackee again, what a surprise! I hesitate to mention it, but I wonder if anyone else has noticed how often the early stages of the process sees the departure of the ethnic candidates. Happens every year and it's becoming obvious Shugs rolleyes. Think I'll have to do a bit of research to back this up...]
I couldn't be arsed to research earlier series (and I know there have been ethnic winners) but another one bites the dust... rolleyesshootwhistle

I too expected Riyonn to be fired.

On the other hand, perhaps the buyers didn't shell out for the turtle but I thought it was infinitely better than My Little Pegasus.

Do you think he shouldn't have been fired? Do you think he should have won?

Such a shame that the turtle creating team did not interpret the brief correctly. This happens time and time again and it doesn't seem to matter to AS that their creation was much better than the slime unicorn. The brief is cast in stone and if you don't stick to it you are out. Soloman was made the scapegoat somewhat unfairly IMHO.

Alan mentioning "market research" at the end of the show. If that was a luxury afforded to the teams, maybe their products could have been markedly better. If they could have sat down with the children *before* going down the path of designing and creating this toy, the results might have greatly differed. Of course, that isn't what The Apprentice is about.
No parent would buy the slime one because that would mean the carpets at home are ruined straight away. The other was an OK product, but missed the brief.
I know it makes good television to see them failing all the time, but it would be nice to occasionally see a team ace their task, make buckets of cash, and put a smile on Grumpy's face.

Has Iasha always been in this series? I think it's the first time I've noticed her, which is odd as her little bio in the Independent (had to look up her name!) says "Iasha is an account manager who thinks her “crazy, controversial, eccentric personality” will help her go far as she believes her "natural persona" will help her win."
Just haven't seen her do anything yet, but maybe she's one of those who is actually good at running a business and accidentally wound up on a show full of media wannabes.

Ooo, liked the bit of sexual frisson there

I think there was a connexion between the body from bolton and the princess in the design stage too
100% bit of tension. Can't blame him the south American one is the only fit one in this series.

Ryan Mark I could punch in the face and just never feel bad for it.

Whilst Im not buying the “Shuggs hates BAME” message I don’t think Souleymane was any worse than the others. I actually agreed with what he was saying (but then the Product was always going to be cr@p, whats the benefit of pointing it out…?)

However, the editing focussed on his “negativity” so that his sacking could be justified. Again I’m not saying there were any race-related reasons for that, just pointing out that the Programme producers have a rough idea as to what order they want to sack people in and then everything is structured to deliver that.

It might be editing. But every time he did neg, it was never partnered to an alternative solution. It felt like to me he wanted to be seen to show how crap it was was in case they lost. A steadfast weasel activity.

The Twitterati are branding Sir Alan racist, for kicking out 3 BAME candidates in a row, according to the Daily Mail.

What was he supposed to do, have 3 BAME winners by default? Old MLK will be spinning in his grave.
