The new Star Wars. After Return of the Jedi, with the exception of Rogue One, they have been such a steaming pile of crud it is beyond belief.

The World's End

Loved Spaced, loved Shaun, loved Hot Fuzz, loved Scott Pilgrim, so this was an absolute banker of a good night at the cinema.

I hated it.

Loved Ant-Man (Edgar Wright's DNA all over it), loved Tin-Tin, loved Baby Driver.

I can't even explain it, I've never been so disappointed after a cinema trip.

I really liked that. End was a bit weak, but liked the future of the Blade Runner world. I think I was expecting it to be sacrilegious garbage, so may have just been pleasantly surprised.

The Last Jedi. A film so poor I’m still shocked it was released. You’d think along the chain, making a movie of this size, from this franchise, someone would have questioned the sense in killing off legacy characters via inglorious means. Someone may have questioned the script. The pointless sub plots and characters behaving in bizarre ways. But they didn’t. I’m now determined not to see the next film at the cinema. TFA was poor as well.

The Matrix is still a nailed on classic 20 years after release. The sequels are very poor.

Curiously and against opinion, I really enjoyed most of Terminator Dark Fate. A film that deserved to have done better.

+1. It was so unremittingly dogst that I'm done with the whole franchise.

Chicago.
Went to the cinema to see it, fortunately 15mins later we were back outside.
Only time I've ever walked out of the cinema mid film.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus

Surely there's enough time and money to give Terry Gilliam another shot with a significant project?

8 Mile

A tedious, predictable, ego project. The only time I've walked out of a cinema.

Dont get the hate for Last Jedi, it was not amazing, but certainly not as bad as people say in my eyes!

The sum of all fears.

Probably an OK watch on its own. but if you've read the book (or any Tom Clancy book based on Jack Ryan) you'd be disapointed, it changed the charcter massively and omits/changes most of the book.

as the title says what was the most disappointing film you've seen - the build-up has been great, the hype-train steaming down the rails and then you're finally sat there, cinema ticket in your sweaty hands awaiting the promised masterpiece and......

it's st. Not just "it could never live up to the hype" st but genuinely WTF were they thinking/smoking to make this pile of bantha dung?

I'll start off with.....

Prometheus

Wow, I read the headline in the list of threads and clicked it with the sole intention of adding Prometheus but there it is straight off the bat laugh

It really was one of the most over-hyped under delivering movies I have ever seen.

Prometheus is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me.

If it’s on when I’m flicking through the channels I’ll sit and watch it through to the end. It’s such a great looking movie it’s weirdly hypnotic.

Unfortunately the plot and script is a steaming dog-poo.
