Good/great fight scenes in film/TV?
Discussion
I was just reading The Witcher thread and how good the fight scenes are reputed to be and thought it might be fun to see other good fight scenes (bonus if the film's not too shabby!). I
think you'd have to go a long way to beat the scenes with Hammer Girl and Baseball Bat Boy (Raid 2 - https://youtu.be/6ReYBIqLY_U) but there are loads of cracking scenes out there, even on TV these days (some of the stuff from Wu Assassins is quite good for example). Why not let us know what films/choreographed fights really have you going WOW!

Forgot about that one, got to be up there for most brutal TV fightAlthough there are billions of fight scenes in films, most of them are bloody awful so a good one does stand out.
For me it's down to editing. The fewer the cuts, the better the fight scene. The modern style of strobe cutting and shaking the camera about is so frustrating and usually pretty boring to watch. It always feels like they're compensating for a lack of imagination and/or time to set the scene up.
The other style that I don't like is when it looks more like a dance scene, where every person's movement is in sync. Fights by their nature are reactive so when it looks like they're dodging before the punch is thrown, it feels more Strictly than John Wick.
Anyway, surely nothing can top Jackie Chan, especially the ladder scene from First Strike:
