Do you reckon they imagine all the woke things possible, first and then add a dead body to the script to claim its a Silent Witness episode?

This is literally pathetic

Halfway through episode 2, I've had enough, time to put the bins out!

I struggled to the end of this while Mrs Wombat sat on the couch reading Prince Harry’s book. I’m not sure which of us is the more stupid.

The first half was ok but it got all convoluted and I got bored. I can say that in a plastic topped van they could have easily hit out.

It really has become dreadful. Even worse than the last series.

The wokeness was ramped up to 11 in this one, discussing the 'ethics' of who should get priority on the organ donation list, UK citizen or illegal immigrant.

The first episode of this latest series was awful.

The second was on a par, if not worse.

I have no desire to watch the third.

It's sad to see the utter demise of something which was once very good.

Continuity alert: When they first arrived at the garden centre, the black Jeep was there and the copper didn't notice or mention it. Later on, towards the end, they used exactly the same piece of footage when they'd chased the Jeep driver away from the hospital.

And why would you send two forensic blokes to interview a taxi company?

I noticed that and wondered why the copper completely ignored it on the first visit!

Yep, its totally daft how they get involved with apprehending suspects, questioning and basically doing the police's work.

stshow of a TV series, worse even that that submarine one.

Though it's great fun watching it as a family and taking the Mick. And it's got a heart too.

Yup, watched both back to back on a long flight yesterday (nothing better to do, I can never find an onboard film I want to watch). Good to see the disability card back as well as the moral dilemmas. Quite liked the grumpy DI but what is it about them summoning backups and armed response then they run off alone chasing the bloke they've just informed everyone is armed and dangerous ?

Gotta keep watching just for this thread alone now hehe

Well they've ticked the sign language box now.
Wonder when we'll see the first blind pathologist?

Yes, but it's usually in bits on a bench to one side.

Only watching out of the corner of one eye… but a sensible story, forensic work, dodgy people being found out etc. Ho hum, producer bursts in ‘for goodness sake make it more sensational, forget whether it’s believable!’…. Investigating copper walks in, proceeds to give birth in the post mortem theatre…
Just make it somehow believable for goodness sake.

Mrs WR likes SW, and has just finished watching the very first episode of series one from 1996.

Quite good actually.
