I spent the last 20 or so episodes hoping Jesse died a slow death. So El Camino will be a no go.
BCS is indeed every bit as good as BB if not better, the humour gives it the edge.
You know what, bang on. As I understand it Jesse was never meant to go beyond season one, but they kept him in and made him a central character. But it seemed like he just became this self pittying victim who just moped about.

You're right that he was supposed to be killed off in Season 1, but I actually think he was the moral centre of BB throughout the remainder of it's run. Without Jesse to balance WW it's a ver different show with a very different outcome morally.

Yeah can see that, but wish he wasn't just a manic depressive the whole time biggrin

Red State

A thriller from writer/director Kevin Smith, this is probably one of his best films and one that you couldn't find anywhere for ages. I had to buy my DVD from Germany it was so hard to track down for a while.

Just popped up on recently added. Like most of Smiths films it's a "tight 90" min runtime and well worth a watch, even if you're not a fan of Smith. Some great performances from John Goodman and Michael Parks.

Just watched The Scoop - really interesting perspective on the story we all know. Plenty of tension although the ending is known. The dog is great too.

Cheers for the heads up, that looks good.

Enjoying Ripley at the moment with just two episodes to go. Very nicely shot in black and white with a nice feel of attention to detail about it. apart from a much later E-Type being in shot

It has Andrew Scott from Sherlock & Fleabag as the title character who is pretty good in it.

Three body problem - was enjoying its sort-of-grounded science , and characters ..... until ep 5 then after that it opened up into a plot hole riddled mess with nonsense macGuffins and 2 min problem solving of massive technological issues....................... ep 1-5 8/10, then 4/10 for me.

Just finished binging this. I thought it was something that got better each episode.

Assuming there will be more to come …

Fat Friends

Presumably where all the Gavin And Stacey cast met and decided to create that show, it’s a shame we seldom make hard hitting comedy drams like this anymore.
I've just started this and actually quite enjoying it smile
I haven't finished it yet but is it me of has it turned from comedy to soap drama which isn't that funny?
My wife is thinking along the same lines, I think there's still enough humour in it to keep going. Not series three at the moment and just realised they have added a fourth.

Clerks Kevin Smith? Interesting, one I'd never heard of before-you don't think of thriller when you thin of him.

No, but still worth a watch, certainly for some fairly easy brain-out fun.

We finished this last night, enjoyed it. Almost had a comic book style in certain scenes and some of the locations were stunning. I think being in black and white really added to the old school atmosphere.
