well I've very nearly finished (and enjoyed) The Gentlemen - yes it likes to think that it's smarter than it actually is, yes it's essentially a 'paint-by-numbers'/cookie-cutter series but it is fun.
Need to clear my viewing for Fallout (Amazon) tomorrow
Yes looking forward to Fallout Need to clear my viewing for Fallout (Amazon) tomorrow

Just watched The Scoop - really interesting perspective on the story we all know.
Indeed it is. So there .
Watched Ripley, sticking with it as was a big fan of the film, but it's very different. Film was overwhelming amounts of charisma from lead characters and characters in the series aren’t like that at all. Not read the original book, film approach seemed to work better

I watched that tonight too. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
The next two aren't up to the same standard sadly imgo wombleh said:

Ripley is very very good, its weirdly gripping you almost find yourself rooting for the guy despite his obvious faults. The tension is built up very cleverly by the director. Edited by wombleh on Thursday 11th April 22:26
It’s feels very cinematic and the black and white works well. Quite a contrast from the film.
The use of silence and just background noise with the occasional very melodramatic tense score when needed reminds me of Hitchcock.
The scenes in episode 5 on the stairwell and in the lift to the rental apartment, with the cat were outstanding.
I can see how it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but it’s quality IMO.

After watching 3 the other night, I saw The Equalizer tonight. It passed me by originally but it's easy watching and builds some tension. I realise I'm probably late to the party but it's pretty good. I'm going to have to dig out 2 now of course.
Too late now, but Equalizer 1 and 2 were on the TV in sequence last night, maybe on Film 4. They've been showing both of them quite a lot over the last couple of weeks. lornemalvo said:

Another vote here for 3 body problem. Superb, can't wait for the next season.
I'm trying to get into 3 body problem but I must admit I haven't got a clue what's going on. Not sure I can be arsed to persist with it.andymc said:

You can't just watch half a film.
I'd disagree - I've watched several til about 15 minutes in and then sacked them off but I guess most do that. I had an epiphany some time ago however, when I had to stop watching about halfway through and realised that I had less than no interest (even as televisual wallpaper) in completing it - not because it was bad, it was worse it was dull... at that point my list of incomplete films has risen sharplyDodgyGeezer said:
