Dead Boy Detectives - a spin off from Neil Gaiman's Sandman. I've watched the first 2, good, quirky entertainment.

Coming out Friday, looks good, just watched the trailer.

"Comes out of retirement for one last job." Ah yes, that old chestnut.

I'll give that a miss thanks.
It's actually quite decent and not a re-run of his "Taken" character.
Just finished this, not bad and had a few nice cars in it.

I've heard it reported that Liam Neeson turned down Bond back in the day because a) he promised his g/f he wouldn't and b) because he didn't want to be typecast into action hero roled and that there was "plenty of time for that when [he was] older"

Guess that time has come. And fair play to him.

Baby Reindeer.

Watched it all in 1 go last night.
Pretty dark and disturbing. Superb acting from the lead lady.
Finished it last night, really good as a study of abuse and the effect that it has on people. Not always an easy watch, but well worth it.
I didn't realise until towards the end that the guy was playing himself... So he had to go through a lot of his experiences again!

Netflix has suddenly decided that all my devices aren't part of my household so won't let me login.
I can reset via email but unfortunately (my fault) I can't get into that email account. Can't remember password and I've tried to reset it without success.
Just been on Netflix help chat and basically they can't help.
So time to cancel the payment.
I don't think I'll setup a new account to be honest.

If you give it a miss you'll be missing a brilliant film. I've just finished it and thought it was exceptional.

Far beyond what he's done over the last few years, this was much deeper and very though provoking, reflecting a very troubled time in fairly recent Irish history.

The supporting cast were also brilliant and included some very well known Irish actors.

As noted quite a few nice, very period cars. It avoids the problem a few films have of just having some cars that are correct for the period. There are also a lot of cars that pre-date the actual mid-70s setting which is of course, much more accurate.

Very highly recommended for me.

It's rare that I binge watch but Baby Reindeer sucked me in.

As above, dark, disturbing but so so good.

It's so much more than just the stalking.

I felt it was strong throughout.

An interesting film, not sure I particularly enjoyed it though. Most of the protagonists are scumbags, albeit one has a Damascine moment

I'm enjoying working through "the job lot", it's bloody funny and the lead young females (different in s1 to s2/3) are rather nice.

The brummie accents add to the humour. It's properly daft with some great characters.

Watched Baby Reindeer following all the recommendations on here.
I know I’m in the minority but didn’t enjoy it at all, that story could have been told in two episodes with a lot of unnecessary fluff. But what do I know!

Very watchable, but I’d say it was longer than it needed to be.

99 Homes

A crooked real estate agent repossesses homes on behalf of the bank circa 2010.

A little simplified and over dranatised - good cast.

I enjoyed it.

He's knocking out films at a Willis and Cage pace biggrin.
But from that image it's clear this is a whole new direction for him.

Alpha Males.

A bit like Sex in the City but with men, and a lot funnier. In Spanish with English subtitles.

I'm making my way through Dark, as everyone seems to say it's great.

I mean, the story's compelling, but it suffers from the "too many characters" problem, compounded by different people playing the same characters. It would be alright if the various actors looked somewhat alike or if the filmakers used subtle cues like associating certain colours with certain characters, but nope...

Enjoying it, though. It doesn't seem to have quite the same amount of padding as most Netflix series do. And the subtitles force me to concentrate while watching it on the treadmill; which pushes the fact that I'm on the treadmill further back in my mind. The acid test for whether or not a Netflix series is engaging...

Just started watching Suits and Killing Eve

Quite enjoying them, though I seem to have developed a habit of losing interest after the first couple of series (really enjoyed Money Heist at first then got bored with it.

I watched The Hijacking of Flight 601 over a few nights, I really enjoyed it. I do find I enjoy foreign language films with subtitles far more engaging as I actually have to pay attention to the subtitles biggrin
