Snowpiercer finished - really enjoyed that. Not renewed yet but hoping it gets the green light.
Pretty sure they've basically finished filming Season 2, and maybe even renewed for Season 3? Season 2 was ordered a year before the first episode premiered.
yeh, i've enjoyed it too ... sort of like lost... hehe

Yes, I read Sean bean is playing Mr Wilford ... just seen that on IMDB for S2 actually... which is a spoiler in itself... I wonder what his fate will be ... hehe
I couldn’t find the renewal - didn’t look on IMDB. good news!

Sincerely hope it is the start is a series - TV series or series of films... don't care, but it's too good not to continue.
It was just formulaic averageness. The concept is just Highlander with newer weapons.
High praise indeed. Well, the original Highlander was fun. The rest were ste.

Anyway, seems it was the first of a planned trilogy (films).

Yep, really enjoyed Snowpiercer.

Also enjoyed Old Guard. Formulaic can still be good...

As an aside, I might be treading old ground - but why does everything Netflix have to be on a single master thread? We don't have "BBC1, what have you watched?"...

Only came up as I've just finished Snowpiercer, had been avoiding spoilers. So searched for it and the dedicated thread got locked within three replies.

Personally I probably would not bother with half the threads if every show had a separate one, prefer it this way myself

This is a thread for discovering new stuff on Netflix. If you want a more in-depth discussion of a show or film then a dedicated thread would be more appropriate.

I started the separate Snowpiercer thread in May when the trailer came out. It got closed so I copied the post into here. Maybe now that it's a series in with at least another series coming it can have its own thread to leave this thread for new stuff? There are threads for GoT, Westworld etc.

I didn't know the last 2 episodes were coming this week. As I said after last week's, apart from the beginning and the axe fight from the film, it's doing its own thing with the characters and the story. I like it and I'll be in for the next series.

Sounds like an extremely dubious moderating decision to me. I'm firmly of the belief that in-depth discussion of a show should be in its own thread rather than polluting a general thread like this one.

As you say, Westworld, GoT, etc. have their own threads.

All the above for me - although i would have liked a little more depth to OLD GUARD that the formula it produced - i think if it had been a mini series of about 6 hours it would have been able to explore all the Old Guard characters, because i really wanted to know more about them.....

Finished Snowpiercer and really enjoyed it. SB was in the credits for S1 they used his voice early on, Mel edited it. I actually expected him to turn up at the end.

And Old Guard, enjoyable but daft feels like a Highlander rip off and the start of a series. The twists and the ending were as expected. I really hope they don't end up with hundreds of the buggers as per the HIghlander series.

Project Power trailer, sci-fi/thriller starring Jamie Foxx, released mid August I think

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xw1vQgVaYNQ

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7550000/

Also released about the same time is the third and final season of the Danish sci-fi/drama The Rain

I'm now on series 3 after watching 1 and 2 back to back.

Series about Cage fighters and their trainers and managers.

I really like it. Firm recommendation.

Wasp Network... film about a Cuban network in America in the 90's, infiltrating groups supposedly helping Cuban refugees, but also smuggling drugs, weapons and blowing up Cuban hotels.

Recommended.

Quote snipped but yes an enjoyable film and set up nicely for more.
Towards the end of the movie, there are a number of closeups of CH. Anyone else find themselves wondering how all of the earpiercings would work. Only explanation would be pre immortal, I suppose.

Almost through season 1, yup I like it!
