My Mrs is watching the Bly thing.
fk me, are they dragging it out or what. I watched all the first episode and have been dipping in and out since. There seems to be very little happening.
The setting is confusing, the kids seem to be from the 50's the nanny from the 80's the cook from the 90's and the housekeeper from the noughties. (I assumed this was deliberate but not so sure now reading the comments above) the accents are weird.
Not sure why it's being narrated.
I already called out the nanny's ghost so want to see if my other theories are true.

Is "umbrella academy" worth a watch?
Yes, both series. Silly, doesn't take itself seriously, and a good laugh.
Thanks, will give it a try as there isn't much i'm watching on there currently.

Its one of those where you are watching and you think, if they nail the reveal/mystery this is going to be awesome

Then you get the reveal and are like, nope, nothing new, not even very well done

I enjoyed it, found series 2 was much better than the first, so it's worth sticking with - It wasn't a series I could binge watch, always found one episode was enough until the next night

To The Lake

Russian subtitled virus disaster thing. Families trying to escape from Moscow while avoiding the infected / looting gangs. Couple of episodes in and it's fairly entertaining so far.
It's from the same team that created 'Better Than Us' which for me is a far better series having watched both.

Just got round to watching American Murder.

Ugh that was tough, particularly the final interview with him.

It is utter bks. I can’t believe I watched nine episodes of that ste. Just terrible. It goes on and on and the storyline at the end is all over the place. What a waste.

I know I'm eleven years or so late to this, but has anyone watched Merlin? Seems there are 5 seasons on Netflix and Daughter reckons it's brilliant but thought I'd ask the opinion of someone who watched it as a show and not because they fancied Arthur biggrin

Shall we just say its VERY family friendly and "of it's time". Harmless enough I guess

Just binged both series of Alan Partridge. I knew it was good but I enjoyed it even more this time. wink

So now you know that Crab sticks don’t actually contain any crab. And from 1993, manufactures have been legally obliged to label them ‘crab flavoured sticks’. Another one of those same time tomorrow.

Tried the 1st episode of American Barbeque last night - truth be told I'll not bother with any more. Really not my thing, I thought (hoped?) there'd be more recipe stuff and/or BBQ techniques

Ditto, fell asleep during the first episode, woke up halfway through the second.

Just watched Away, really enjoyed the fact that it focussed more on the human element of a manned mission to Mars rather than the technology so much. Looking forward to another season.

Ready player one is on netflix

I was scepticle as im not a gamer or anything but I actually found it allright.

Loved the references to past movies and characters which i could relate to..eg sonic ryu delorean.

I watched it on amazon prime before and the xray feature was so cool as it listed all the characters that popped up.

I think if you've read the book, the film is very disappointing.

Put the first episode of Emily in Paris on yesterday - Didn't really think it would be my kind of show, but had nothing better to do - ended up watching the whole of Season 1 - Was very easy to watch, the story kept my interest (about an American girl sent to Paris by her company, but not very well received by the Parisiens), some funny moments, and just a good feel to it. I had to turn that off frown
I get gaming motion sickness and the motion of the movie really made me feel ill. I hadn't realised it was a book though, so might read it instead.

Apologies if it's been covered on here but I had to turn 15:17 to Paris off about halfway through. Had the promise of being good but ended up being terrible.

A real shame. I normally love this type of movie.

Quite enjoying my Octopus Teacher mainly because I love wildlife, Diving and South Africa.
