Anyone watched the new interactive Bear Grylls thing?

Is it aimed at kids?
Yes and yes. Drawn in by the fact it was short and interactive... a very long 45 minutes!
Appreciated.

I’ll remove that from the list.

Outside The Wire starring Anthony Mackie (The Falcon in the MCU).

Utterly forgettable.
Gave up, it was awful.

It felt like one of those films that was made, abandoned and scooped up from the cutting room floor and throw together for a 'Netflix Exclusive'. The way the Leo character changes almost completely between scenes made me think there's no way they were supposed to be arranged like that.
Really enjoyed it to be honest, thought provoking

The Valhalla Murders

Enjoyable, if increasingly bonkers, Icelandic police procedural thing, investigating murder and abuse at a boys home

Hasn't inspired me to want to move to Iceland - they seem short of light bulbs for one thing.

7/10 though

There are two actors who only play themselves.

Tom Hanks and Jason Statham.
Tom Cruise & Will Smith hehe
And it's not necessarily bad: Clint Eastwood.

Bruce Willis
Sean Connery / Hugh Grant

You take that back about Arnold. A fine screen actor, I mean have you seen Kindergarten Cop ?

Anyway what to watch after The Punisher ?

Easily the bloodiest thing I have seen on TV in a long while. Was good though, highly recommend.

If an actor always plays the same character does that mean they are playing themselves?

EG Grace Jones always seems to play a nasty scary woman but in real life is apparently very nice. Jennifer Jason Leigh is reportedly quiet and reserved in real life but always takes her clothes off in films. Martin Freeman, always plays the nice 'everyman' guy but has been described as arrogant in real life.

Who knows?

I guess that so long as they get regular work and can live with themselves, then who cares.

American factory.

"In post-industrial Ohio, a Chinese billionaire opens a new factory in the husk of an abandoned General Motors plant. Early days of hope and optimism give way to setbacks as high-tech China clashes with working-class America."

A really interesting documentary film. One of those that sits on the mind for a bit with the stark contrasts of how both countries work.

We watched The Meg last night. I was desperate to see this in the cinema but no one would come with me because they said it would be the usual Jason Statham brain out action rubbish. It was totally that. Not sure other half enjoyed it...

Superstore.

Absolutely awful, but nice and easy light hearted viewing.

First Man - Film about how Neil Armstrong ended up being the first person on the Moon. Strange contrast of the plot moving quite slowly and not much happening and then really quite tense scenes. I quite liked it, the fact that it didn't try to dramatise the events too much and kept it relatively realistic. Girlfriend fell asleep.

I can watch it but the store manager is badly written, acted, cast and vocally challenging.
