Just watched The Contractor. Not as bad as some make out. Bit predictable at times, but Chris Pine is way better than the run of the mill action hero, so not bad overall.

New run of Love, Death and Robots on Friday.

The first two seasons were a masterpiece - dark, funny, well written and incredibly well made.

If you wanted to look up the definition of a 30% film on Rotten Tomatoes, this would be it. As utterly predicable as you would imagine, you know exactly what it is going to be like without even having to watch it.

The more weight she’s lost, the less funny she’s become

Pretty much every joke she's ever been a part of in any film are the fact she's the fat ditzy woman - she's kinda removed her main reason to exist in films.

I'm like that with Keanu Reeves. i started watching a film of his the other night and made it about a third of the way through. His eyes are like that of a shark. There's just nothing there. Wooden doesn't adequately describe it.
I have zero idea why or how he gets paid to be in films when there are so many amazing actors out there.

Enjoyed this too.

Thought Russel Tovey was quite good too. First time I've seen him in a serious role. Him and Her is a favourite of mine and good to see him evolve from that type of role.

Our Father

A fertility Dr in the USA, who would knock one out in a side room, and then go and inseminate the blissfully unaware patient waiting with his own sperm… quite a few times!

The Paedophile Hunters.

Very uncomfortable viewing, if I'm honest. The guys they catch..... some of them 'look like paedos' but some are perfectly normal and worrying at the ease at which it seems they can gain access (and the trust) of their victims.

Don't know whether to recommend it or not.

Maiden.

Documentary about the first all-female crew to enter the Whitbread Round-The-World yacht race.

Inspiring and moving.

It’s a film that if made 20 years ago would have had many jokes that would have had you setting yours,Ed with laughter. But this was bilge. I really wanted it yo be good. Like the films it rips off….

Interesting to see what Netflix classes as a documentary smile (the third one case you were wondering) - though probably quite apt at the moment.
