Interesting to see what Netflix classes as a documentary smile (the third one case you were wondering) - though probably quite apt at the moment.

That's still not as broken as 'More like this' selection can be - you watch some 18 cert film and it links a load of crappy kids cartoons as being similar.

The search system is nearly as bad.

But that actually is a documentary tongue out.

Love, Death, Robots season 3 is now available.

The episodes are very hit and miss for me but the animation is great.

Finished the last series of Ozark last night. It might just be the best series yet! Absolutely one of the best things on Netflix.
Apologies for repost from Ozark thread, but lots on there don't rate this season whereas I'm with you, I thought it was excellent. Perhaps I am looking into it way too deeply, but for me, this series was a biting critique of capitalism and American neo liberalism. The real villain was the easily exploitable system, the real criminals always played the victim card whilst screwing everyone over royally, with their permission and despite giving then plenty of notice, time and again. I really enjoyed the way the characters became ever more empty as the series progressed as their souls slowly left them. Power corrupts and being within touching distance of absolute power corrupts more than absolute power itself.
Agreed, I finished it last night, very much enjoyed.
I'm so glad I read the comments on this thread about Ozark, I had watched series 1 and given up on it. I'm now on series 3 and it just gets better. Truly outstanding, although I do wonder how long I could go in a cellar without growing a beard.

Lincoln Lawyer (series)

Enjoyed the books and the film but the series is just standard glossy, acting by numbers.

The storyline might carry it through but it has the look and feel of a daytime soap.
I like it, yes it not a patch on the film, but an easy way to watch series, good sunday viewing.
Up to ep 9

Hallers house...... Looks like harry bosches one...

View.... Interior etc...

Enjoying it so far.

Intrusion : at the end now. Promised a good deal, but found it very amateur and yawny.

There is a hidden crux which I haven now got to, and despite being a dramatic reveal they haven't portrayed it as such.

5/10. Meh,

They supposedly live on opposite sides of the same valley. (And I'm sure you know, but some might not, they are half brothers).

I’ve thought the opposite! This seems as good as season 1 after a somewhat average season 2. Night of the mini dead in particular was as hilarious as it was well animated.

Rock and Roll's Greatest Failure: Otway the Movie

Started watching thinking is was going to be rubbish but ended up being a hilarious and interesting documentary. The guy is clearly weapon's grade bonkers but brilliant for it.

Not many will be familiar with John Otway but those who are, know!

The Last Legion

Starring Colin Firth, John Hannah, Bendy Kingsley, the stunning Aishwarya Rai, that kid from Love Actually who never seems to get old, several people from Game of Thrones, plus some others, this is a swords and sandals romp that is proving to be pretty enjoyable so far.

Occasionally the SFX is a little iffy, and although the fight choreography is believable there are a few instances of people reacting before hit. But it's not bad at all.

edit: When I say "so far" it's cos I had to stop the film to go do something else and haven't been back to it yet.

edit2: Came back to it for a bit but had to go again. I'm a bit annoyed that Aishwarya Rai's badass character is now riding pillion on the same horse as Colin Firth's character.

I had a chat with him in a pub in Edinburgh when he sat down next to us. Stole some of my other half's chips !

Apart from the mad punky style songs he's done a couple of nice slow ones - "Geneve" with a massive orchestra that must have cost a fortune to produce and also a nice folky version of "Jerusalem".

I'll check it out, would be very interesting to see.

Geneve came close to bankrupting him. Covered in the film!

He was also a genius. I loved the fact that he got cheques printed with his picture on them so when he went to get his shopping, if they knew who he was, the cheque would get kept and never banked!

Excellent, thanks. Very clever on the cheques smile I'll be watching that over the weekend !

Peurile, and not a little homoerotic. I laughed for a bit, but stopped watching after about 40 minutes. I enjoyed it, but got bored.

This is a great watch. Complete loon.

On a similar note, but even more bonkers, watch "Basically, Johnny Moped", it's a great watch about the people in punk who made it and were linked to this nut job. biggrin
