Missus got free tickets to see him and went on a worknight, she said majority of the audience didn't laugh at his jokes. Now you would expect that on comedy night with lots on the bill but for a single comedian it's unusual.

She writes it though doesn't she?

Thing I found most odd is it's got quite a following, a new series they've been promoting and then days after announcing a divorce. Not that I watch it. Quite like him on 8 out of 10 though ...
I’d imagine they were probably asked if they could delay the announcement until after the new series started so as to not destroy it’s viewing figures.

She is one of the two main writers certainly and her career is definitely in the ascendancy.

Shame as the 5th series has been on really good form.
I'm not sure why the TV company would think it would harm the viewing figures. Anyway, I enjoyed the one I just watched from last night. It was interesting to watch the bits in it towards the end where they joke about breaking up. Obviously it's scripted but that's the point - that it was written into the script. Greg Wallace was fun too.

I'm from Hull and even I agree

(although she lived in the posh villages so it's all put on anyway)

It was Richard Ayoade's fault biggrin

And a bit of Jimmy Carr.

Divorce was mentioned as part of the comedy in the one I watched last night. Which I found really funny including Julian Clary. Cant believe I only started watching at the last series. I must start catching up with old ones.
