Without going back over all 5 pages I've no idea if already mentioned the fact it is mostly filmed in & around Bath, have watched a couple of shows so far and thinking..."that looks familiar!"

Far too much time wasted by lovely tracking shots of lovely Bath.
We have just started to watch , having missed the previous series .
And am quite enjoying , chalk and cheese combination of the two cops with the quiet analytic mind of the older one is great .
The lack of swearing is refreshing , of course the cases are bizarre , the latest F1 episode totally unrealistic , but so what , easy watching , fun trying to work out who dun it . Series link set

Turns out the episode coming up this Sunday (about social media influencers) was the one originally scheduled to end series 2 last year before ITV decided to pull it in favour of launching a new drama series to coincide with whatever BBC were launching the same weekend.
Write up suggests that, in order to make the episode fit into the current series 3 run of episodes, the producers had to order a refilm of a number of scenes to feature the new Super, Mary Ormond. When the episode was shown last year in overseas territories it obviously featured the original Superintendent, John Houseman, but as his character was written out for S3, with his character going back to The Met, they had to reshoot to make it fit.

If I remember correctly they dropped it so the first episode of "Grace" didn't clash with the first episode of the last series of "Line of Duty"Write up suggests that, in order to make the episode fit into the current series 3 run of episodes, the producers had to order a refilm of a number of scenes to feature the new Super, Mary Ormond. Just seen the episode involving the Formula 1 team. It really isn't meant to get taken seriously is it, comedy drama indeed.
F1 driver who is about to be murdered, team wanting to practice hot pit stops, walks out to a clock cold supposed F1 car, cold engine, cold tyres, climbs in, fires it up with less fuss than the driver of a 200,000 mile Toyota minicab, goes out on practice laps, nails it.

It's almost as if it was light hearted Sunday evening entertainment F1 driver who is about to be murdered, team wanting to practice hot pit stops, walks out to a clock cold supposed F1 car, cold engine, cold tyres, climbs in, fires it up with less fuss than the driver of a 200,000 mile Toyota minicab, goes out on practice laps, nails it.
I see that Series 3 now shows as 4 episodes.
This Sunday's is the missing Social media one, "The War of the Rose", and on the 10th is "Clouds Across the Moon".
The description of which:
"On the dawn of All Soul’s Day, the body of a successful Bath businessman is found in a shallow grave in the shadow of the Glastonbury Tor. Our detective duo’s first suspect is local artist Hector Ingham, although McDonald can’t help but be suspicious of the man who found the body, the mysterious Martin Silver - IT consultant by day, medium by night - who claims to be able to speak to the dead. As increasingly cryptic clues come to light, one name keeps reoccurring in paper trails, credit card statement and on the lips of witnesses…that of Dodds himself.

I think most of the 'F1 HQ' stuff was filmed at Haynes - with Castle Combe as the 'test track', of course.
I think they did the motor racing part pretty well - no stock footage, film only slightly sped up, etc. Whilst the cars were obviously F3 cars (hopefully, I don't follow single seaters that closely) they at least had a decent livery to match the story line, same with the crew outfits and helmets - they'd spent to money on props for sure.
It was a clever idea to set it at a private test session so no need for any other teams/cars/etc.
Just got round to watching this. The technical details in the script was good. I'd imagine Will Buxton went through the script with a fine tooth comb.
Addingtons certainly modelled on Williams. Joe McGann could certainly play Frank if a film were to be made!
My only issue is they used a picture of Jochen Rindt in a Lotus 72 as a fictional driver who died from an accident caused by mechanical failure who reality died in an accident caused by mechanical failure. I thought it was it was on the side of bad taste. I wonder whether the production was aware of this?
