There was only ever 13 u boats in the atlantic at one time,

Even during the happy times
Are you sure? I ask in ignorance but see references to larger numbers on some of the bigger convoy attacks.
Well unless the war historian on the wehaveways podcast is wrong

They interviewed the writer (??) for the B17, and who did a few BoB episodes as well here.

I think they may be wrong as they had wolf packs of up to 20 uboats.

Which one was that? I have found them interesting but not listed to them all.

If you were to take an Apple TV free 5 day trial, it might be worth doing it at the moment....

Just saying like.......

Do Apple make it easy to cancel the free trial, or is the option hidden away impossible to find?

It’s easy, I did after the free trail when I got a year free with a new Apple TV box

Enjoyed this film, not quite what I expected but I’m not sure what constitutes a spoiler so won’t say why.

CGI was well executed in my opinion and certainly didn’t spoil it for me in any way.

Action from beginning to end, no wokeness, what’s not to like? .

Sorry to be that guy, but did Fletcher class destroyers serve in the Atlantic? I thought they were built for the Pacific campaign.

PS It’s certainly all action! I enjoyed it.

What a great film I loved the running back and forth and all those people on the bridge made it feel so close.

The wolf boat guy did remind me of the kestrel from mindhorn so found it a bit funny when it shouldn't have, but great film no the less.

I have to say I don’t think I’d fancy a Royal Navy open bridge in the mid Atlantic in winter!!

Just watched this. Decent film,

As others have mentioned it lacked the tension.

Looks interesting, not too gung ho I hope. A friend of my mothers was on the convoys and survived being sunk by a U boat.
My Grandad too ... he never stopped banging on about it ... and I never tired of him doing so :-)

Shame he's not around anymore to see this.
My grandfather too. Rescued by the Canadians and returned on the Queen Mary. The ship broke down as they departed for Russia.

In fairness to the ship, I reckon I'd also break down if I was departing for Russia.

It doesn't bear thinking about, does it? It was a petrol tanker, too. When they were attacked they had to run up a red flag which was akin to painting a bullseye on your face.
