In no particular order Keanu Reeves and Nicolas Cage are my nominees.

Although their bank accountants will disagree, both seem to be better suited to comedy, in my opinion.

And that's putting it nicely.

Guess you haven't seen
Ted
The Shooter
Pain & Gain
Lone Survivor
Patriot Games
Four Brothers
The Departed
Deep water Horizon
The other guys
Etc etc.

All pretty good, and another one for me like the Rock who does action & comedy well.
He has been in some dross like Transformers and most of the time his in films that are set in Boston but I wouldn't say he is the worst.

Steven Seagal comes across as a psychopath if you read some of the stories about him.

Not sure if it's true or not, but the story about him being choked out and soiling himself after challenging a stuntman is possibly my favourite.
Gene lebell was a legend, his biography is worth tracking down. Good friends with Bruce Lee. Used to fight, and beat, professional boxers.

Seagal's death scene in Machete makes me forgive him for rather a lot, but not enough. His sheriff reality show is a riot with his 'crime vision' and jive talk to mystified locals.

And Jean Claude Van Damme gives an authentically good performance in JCVD. Shame he went straight back to the tat.

Its got to be Seagal, have you seen 'On Deadly Ground' that has to be his worst film and what was Michael Caine thinking as well, he had an academy ward and was starring in this crap. He must have needed the money.
Segal's original cut of the film had the ending speech about the environment last for forty minutes.

No mention of Jean-Claude van Damme yet? perhaps no one here has ever seen any of his movies....

No way. JCVD has been in some stinkers, but he beat Bolo whilst blind and did more acting in those three seconds than Segal ever managed. Plus the film JCVD is brilliant.

He loses points for acting, but has kicked ass in multiple scenes, threw Dolph through a mincer, and did the splits on two volvo trucks. Legit action hero IMO, even if not the best.

Agreed - he has done quite a lot of good stuff alongside the junk plus was genuinely pretty handy at karate too.

And he was almost in the title role Predator, he was just too short and the suit looked rubbish so they changed all that stuff.
