Love the bit when Spartan get a burger and a beer and Huxley says "don't ask where the meat comes from", "do you see any cows down here"
The Schwarzenegger library! and them all singing advertising jingles.Dead Space: Downfall
Amazon Prime
An "animated sci-fi horror" which is "set in the Dead Space universe, [serving] as a Prequel of the first game, going into detail about what happened onboard the USG Ishimura prior to Isaac Clarke reaching it."
Ticked all the standard tropes... the team being picked off one by one, one team member getting bitten and not revealing it to the other team members until they turn, the heroic sacrifice by another team member, etc etc. As such it treads an extremely well-trodden path.
I didn't hate it, but it was pretty 'meh'.
(Note: I know of the video games but have never played them)

It's one of those things where there's nothing wrong with it and it's quite well made but there's absolutely nothing memorable about it. I've seen it twice (quite a time between viewings) and have barely a flicker of memory beyond the start and end. Amazon Prime

Watchable but you wouldn't go out of your way to recommend it.

The Schwarzenegger library! and them all singing advertising jingles. It was certainly Taco Bell on Netfix,
IMDB - For some non-American releases, references to Taco Bell were changed to Pizza Hut, since the former was virtually unknown in many foreign countries at the time. This includes dubbing, plus changing the logos during post-production. Taco Bell remains in the closing credits.

Certainly all versions I have seen were Taco Bell but I confess I had never heard of them at the time of first viewing. But it wasn't difficult to work out from the context (esp. John Spartan's reaction) that it was a fast food chain. One of the joys of having kids is showing them old films that you haven’t seen for ages.
Watched Witness with my daughter at the weekend. Still a very solid and enjoyable film. Daughter liked it but not the ending.
Also rewatched the Lego Batman Movie (we were going to watch Soul but not available to rent yet). Perhaps not quite as good as the two other Lego movies but still had some great lines/scenes. I’ve found it increasingly hard to take Batman seriously and watching that didn’t help.

Just watched fast and furious Hobbs and shaw. Not really seen much of the original f&f. It was ok for big action silly nonsense.
But I couldn’t help feeling it was like a modern big budget remake of tango and cash, without the prison break out bit obviously.
I’m not really sure the statham and Johnson dynamic worked for me. Felt very wooden and they didn’t bounce off each other very well.
Now, to track down tango and cash and find out it’s no where near as good as I remember it....

A good first twenty minutes and then it goes off the rails IMOFlumpo said:

it is good - as long as you dont get the TV edit version they always seem to pedal out ....But I couldn’t help feeling it was like a modern big budget remake of tango and cash, without the prison break out bit obviously.

God I should grow up!
Started watching Wrath of Man since it actually got a four star review on Roger Ebert:

Should have seen the reviews above, because I thought it was rubbish and switched it off.
Jesus H Christ - the dialogue....who wrote that crap?

Park Avenue: Money, Power and the American Dream (2012). Done to death before, but never the less interesting. Is class warfare the rich against the poor, or is it the ultra-rich pitting the middle-class against the poor (and each other)? While maybe not objective, this documentary looks at the power behind the politics.
Demonstrates how much power lobbyist have, regardless, of the political party they are targeting.

The Doorman
Basically Die Hard without the Xmas bits and with less humour. A big standard action movie which is passable but treads absolutely no new ground whatsoever. Its a heist movie by numbers.
It was watchable but a few bits of plot/action just don't work because they have been written in to continue the plot. Eh. Hero has a big fight scene with a policeman which takes ages. Few minutes later, disarms and disables six cops in a matter of seconds. One minute hanging from a cable over a big drop and desperately struggling to hang on so as not to fall. Guy with a gun arrives so just lets go and falls the (presumably) scary distance down. Annoying
