Brian Blessed was brilliant in that.

If you have never seen him present, “Have I got News for You? “dig it out on YouTube and enjoy a good laugh.

Flash Gordon - The 1980 film.

Worth watching for no other reason than Ornella Multi.....

Nine "Gordon's Alives" out of Ten.
Although Brian Blessed warrants an immediate boot-through-the-tv-screen in our house.

Bluh, bluh, bluh, uh, WHAAAT!
I met him few years back at a local theatre group do (he was playing King Leer with his daughter, Rosalind, as Goneril, first time they'd worked together). Chatting away to a group of us I was amazed how quiet he was, and then he was asked to talk to the room so jumped up on a table and switched to BRIAN BLESSED mode biggrin. He's a really nice bloke.

I'm sure he's a nice bloke in real life but, just as with Jeremy Clarkson, the 'tv' version gets on my tits.

And shock, horror, apparently Queen Elizabeth IIs favourite film.

So, so good.

+1 for Ornella Muti.

And that Queen soundtrack....... cloud9
Ornella Muti was absolutely gorgeous in that, and I so wanted to wear her outfit(s).

(And have the figure to wear them too, 'natch)

In fact all the ladies outfits in that film were awesome.

Another film with great outfits is The Fifth Element, with most costumes being designed by Jean Paul Gaultier.

I thought he was terrible on HIGNFY, just a shouting caricature of what he once was. Pays the bills I guess

This. Similar to the reasons I can't stand Matt Berry.

Memory
Amazon Prime 2022
Liam Neilson is a freelance hit man called up by the child market Mexican Cartel to clean up but stops short of killing a child witness. When she still meets her inevitable fate by others, he turns on the Cartel while the local police and FBI close in. Naturally they bicker too amongst themselves so results follow slowly.
To complicate matters he has advancing alkzeimers,  hence the title where he questions what he is occasionally doing.
Closes with a few loose ends brought together and resolved in the unexpected and brilliant ending.
8 / ..... er forgot what I was saying.

Love it. A total guilty pleasure.

It ended hinting at a sequel, but alas it wasnt to be.

Suprised its never been remade.

I'm sure it will and I'm equally sure it will be terrible.

In the meantime, I always found Flesh Gordon hilarious, though it's been a while laugh

I thought Rizzo was referring to The Fifth Element?
