Bill is doing very well imo. I was expecting him to be the joker who played it for laughs, but he is actually very good. I also watched a couple of episodes of Black Books after Strictly, in the days when he had slightly more hair. Still makes me laugh laugh

Unless something amazing happens it's going to be between Maisie and HRVY. Head and shoulders above the rest.
Whilst I agree that they are the best dancers this is not, and never has been a dancing contest.

It's about popularity (of both the pro and the celeb).

I always take a quick look at the Strictly faceache page, to see how many 'likes' each act has.

Bill Biley seems to be very much leading the field.

I can't think of a year when a bad dancer has won the competition. There has been the occasional shock, but generally the best dancers go further. Looking at the winners most of them aren't the biggest names taking part that year.

Bill is currently the bookies 7th favourite to win. I wouldn't be putting money on him.

The bookies have Maisie and HRVY as favourites.

I really can't stand Maisie, seems way too full of herself.
Won't happen but I'd love Bill Bailey to win.
The ex marine needs to stay in as long as possible as well, not that his dancing is anything special but it means more Amy cloud9

I reckon they should have paired Bill with Anton, really ham it up for the popular vote.

Agree with you on Maisie. She reminds me of last year’s winner, the equally gobby and arrogant Stacey Dooley. Must be an Eastender’s trait hehe

Hmmm. I never considered Stacey as being arrogant. Indeed, I always saw her as fairly humble and any perceived arrogance as coming from Kevin.

Not sure I agree with you there (other than about Kevin memememememememe Clifton), however I do think both Stacey and Masie were/are both far too full of themselves, which I guess is what arrogance is?

Stacey Dooley was never in Eastenders as far as I'm aware. Maybe you're mixing her up with the character Stacey played by Lacey Turner.

Fair enough. You'd be the last person that I would expect to agree with me anyway. But, having said that, I do not think you automatically disagreed with me and I respect your contrary opinion

No, I think I was just talking rubbish re: Eastenders, thanks for the correction laugh

Strictly is a bit weird for me this year as one of the contestants is called 'JJ' and that's my name and I am not used to hearing it said but to me (JJ Abrams does not count)

Must be the first time in quite a few years that the 2 dancers at the bottom of the leaderboard, in the series first elimination show, are the same 2 in the dance off by public voting.

He always seem to get the duffers, it was nice to see him reach the final last year and get some 10s instead of his total score being 10! wink

What on earth was up with Sam Smith on the results show? Covered their mouth with their mic like it was some kind of a mask, mumbled and slurred the lyrics, and looked like they were carrying an extra stone or three of lockdown lard. eek
