What an utterly fantastic final. Fortunately we watched it on catch up (too early for tea at six so a trip to the chippie meant a later start for us) so could FF the Ts & Cs and the cringey Nicola Adams promotion, but everything else was utterly bang on.

Thought Masie the best dancer, Bill the most infectious, Hrvy my own favourite because I warmed to him after thinking he’d be an annoying gobby twerp at the launch and Jamie the most enthusiastic so for me any of them could have won. Pleased for Bill in the end though and rather sad that that’s it.

Cheers for the the thread though everyone, it’s been enormous fun and look forward to catching up with you all in September!

For me Maisie was the best dancer, but Bill for where he started from, his commitment and entertainment value. A very worth winner, and an example to many of us round here I suspect

Good on Bill. Yes HRVY & Maisie probably had better performances, but given what's gone on this year i think the public vote reflected the entertainment value and he deserved the win. I think that makes Oti the first pro to win back to back series on the UK version.

I think it's mainly a "best of Strictly" looking back on performances over the years plus interviews with various dancers, celebs, judges, etc.

Given that they always hobble the winner of the previous year with a lame duck (sorry, someone not favourite to win) to prevent such a thing, it's even more of an achievement.
