IN which case Craig needs a better agent. laugh
There is more to it than just £.
It’s an institution, to be the face of weekend entertainment for a 1/3rd of the year. Also right now it’s that gig or sadly nothing until C19/20/21/... ends.
Of course, I simply suggesting that Shirley Ballas provides nothing more than Craig. Indeed, as many have said on here, her constant sexist remarks about some of the younger male dancers border on creepy.

Heart breaking that the final won't be celebrated like every year.
I found this quite sad this year. It is always an emotional show with a lot of friendship, bonding and goodwill etc and the group hugs and support are one of the things that set it apart from other rubbish celebrity shows and competitions.

Seeing them being forced to awkwardly dance on one spot and not interact is just weird.

I felt HRVY and JNET deserved win personally on overall balance of skills and journey. But Bill was still a great winner and fun to watch dance and Oti is amazing.

Maisie also grew on me a bit by the end and I think she was the best dancer. I think the show has changed and matured her a lot as she came across badly to start with. Nice bum though.

Jamie was alright but I didn't actually like watching him dance much. And Karen isn't my favourite.

Great series though considering all the logistical difficulties with actually getting it on TV. And probably needed by people a bit more this year who just wanted some escapism relief from Covid st.

Ironic that, for once, a woman is doing the same job as a man for significantly *more* money rather than less. hehe

No, but seriously, I'm cool that the Head Judge gets more money but otherwise the judges should be getting broadly similar money.

Strictly would be the lesser without Craig so he should definitely be on the same as Bruno in my opinion.

It's a speculative piece (as it could only be) - but they did note that Craig also directs the live tours, so would get more for that. I suppose it's also entirely possible they have different duration contracts negotiated at different times which could show an 'interim' difference.

I watched a show the other week that suggested there was only one industry where women routinely got paid more than men for the same job - pronstars! hehe

No wonder Len is still doing DwtS if they're paying a regular judge that well!

Agreed - But it would be fascinating to know how much it has all cost... I’m not one of the TV License deniers, but it would be interesting.

As an example of triumph over adversity, I think it's priceless.

It's been a credit to the BBC in my opinion, and epitomises everything that is good about it.

I also liked how they managed to adapt with panel shows too. Have I Got News For You, Mock the Week, and QI had a couple of flat episodes at the beginning of lockdown as these shows *need* the feedback loop of an audience, but then they found a way of aggregating a Zoom audience into an organic laughter track and it all kinds worked.

It's been a shining light in some pretty gloomy times

Yeah, but the BBC have also done "The Wheel" as a covid compliant game show - and that's utter crap! rofl

I have no knowledge or experience of that show. In fact, I've not even heard of it. Sorry. smile

Don't be! You're not missing out.

It's on straight after SCD on a Saturday, with Michael McIntyre (who I usually rate) hosting.

"Da Wawl" with Danny Dyer which preceded it was loads better.

Funny that you picked up on the pay element of my comment rather than the grossly offensive remarks she makes when she's leching over young men in tight trousers. hehe As many have said, if a male presenter made similar remarks about one of the girls they'd be sacked immediately. She's an awful woman.

Oh give it a rest. I just made general comment rather than a specific reply to your post.

But for the avoidance of doubt, I agree that creepy comments are creepy.

I think Oti was more settled & nice this year & I appreciated that, previously shes come across as a bit of a miss whiplash taskmaster (& previous partners i'm sure have said as much) but this year, possibly because she'd won last year, possibly because she'd been paired with someone slightly older so unlikely so didn't see there being much chance, she was more likable & also perhaps she didn't fully realise just what she was getting with Bill as someone who was really going to try his heart out & take her under his wing a little.

I agree Caroline Quentin out performed her expectations, if she'd been with Anton (as much as I think hes fab & definitely get him on the judging panel as a permanent fixture) it would probably have been a whole different story as he now seems to have a habit of if they can't quite get it then he just pushes them round the floor and doesn't give them a chance to try.

I get people mostly aren't Jamie lovers here but did anyone else feel some of his routines from Karen didn't really flow and had somewhat obvious pauses to set the next bit up & I don't feel like it was due to his lack of ability in those dances.

Yes, I noticed that, yet Craig criticised Ranvir for doing that. Maybe he felt that it was due to her performance while with Jamie it was the choreography.

I really warmed to him throughout the series. I wanted to dislike him a some posh idiot but he came across as really likeable and genuine.

Immediately after the virtue signalling posts regarding Shirley being lecherous, brilliant.
