Ghosts, followed by a few episodes of Yonderland

Generally any Mary Beard programme, because she refuses to do the enactment rubbish and sneaks a few mucky asides in.

Am I wrong for enjoying Michael Portillo's train programme - Something about it is feel-goody because you can feel his love for trains. There's no reality TV nonsense, no jeopardy stuff, no crap - Just geeky train stuff
I've never actually watched it, but caught the last few minutes of it a few times. Often thought it looks like I may enjoy it, but not actually got around to watching one.

Peppa Pig.

I watch it with my 2 year old daughter, it's actually quite amusing even for an adult to watch. I can now see why it has been so popular for so long.

GBBO.

It brightens up the otherwise depressing autumn months.

Bangers n Cash is one for me, I like the relaxed nature of the programme and lack of forced jeopardy, the old cars too of course!

The Detectorists had a tangible effect on my mood when it used to be on, the folky theme, countryside views and laidback humour were truly uplifting.
+1 for Detectorists - that ending.

Weirdly for me, I find 'Justified' on Amazon really soothing and I can't work out why?

I always used to find the BBC "Holiday" programme a nice thing to brighten up the winter months, even though I don't go on holiday. In much the same way that the pile of "National Geographic Traveller" magazines that were being given away on my local Facebook page have done.

I think they're still making new ones, they got very samey when my daughter was two and Peppa was life!

There's some genuinely funny bits, like when Grandpa Pig encounters Daddy Fox near his Chicken Pen at night.

Mr. Bull when they "DIG UP THE ROAD!".

Grandpa Pig arguing with Grandpa Dog about boats.

Anything with Daddy Fox actually, he's a bit of a cross between Derick Trotter and Private Walker.

Mademoiselle Madame Gazelle who is a Teacher, but also a Vampire.

There's surprising depth for a very simple cartoon for pre-schoolers!
