Hi Everyone,
Probably setting myself up for a fall here but...

I've just found this thread and have read many of the posts. Having recently (few months back) started my own YT channel named RichReviews which focuses on luxury car and watch reviews, I'd value your opinions on the channel and any Constructive recommendations you would have please?

Obviously, Tim if you're still hooked into this Thread then I'd greatly appreciate any advice you could provide to grow the channel.

Morethancars is losing it. Last week he went full hater mode on JWW and now he's ranting about supercars and making up lies.

What I found hilarious was when he claimed 3 Lambo dealers called him about allocation for the new V10 (STO) but yet he forgot the name of the car. You can't remember STO? He also claims there's "millions of pictures" online of the car. There's one spyshot from March lol.

I guess Phil living beyond his means finally caught up to him and bitterness has set in.

The dude needs to realise that a nice car collection isn't what makes a youtuber. Yes, it helps for social media, but you also need a lot of other things which he doesn't have.

Okayyyy, I have watched 'State Of My Watch Collection - 2020'. Others may feel differently, my thoughts are...

2 minutes intro credits is far too long and why it focuses on pots and pans and a log fire is a mystery.

I don't believe that people watching a car or watch video care about your cats even 1% as much as you do and I found the constant references to them and noises from them irritating, its not a cat channel.

The setting is too dark and gloomy and doesn't give the high end impression that I would guess you are aiming for. Better lighting and a 100% plain 'studio' would be more attractive.

If you are talking about watches then I want to see the watch. You need ultra close up video.

I think that your delivery would benefit from being a little more animated. It was a bit of an effort to stick with the video as it's quite monotone and isn't particularly engaging. Likely that its a new venture and you just need some time and experience to feel relaxed and let words flow.

Is it a luxury car channel or is it a channel about one 993? Presumably thats your car, is it just that you haven't had the opportunity to start filming other cars yet?

I do not feel that I am in competition with the other car YouTubers, I feel many can complement each other while others, well, stand apart.

I feel that my delivery is different. I am a technical person by trade therefore my delivery will and hopefully is (see my 993 Playlist) more technical than the likes of JWW etc.

Thank you for your honest opinion and for taking the time to check out the channel.

My son is the videographer/editor and adds in elements that you speak of (pots etc) in slo-mo as cinematic...it was not the intro but rather eclectic b-roll. However, I take your point about the cats etc, after all we are trying to target the mass audience and to grow the channel so see all such comments as constructive and will be taken on-board.

Incidentally, I feel the best content to-date that we have put together is the series on my 993 S and the collection of the 458; the 993 S was sold to make way for the 458 Spider. Future content to come on the 458 along with car shows and features/reviews of many other sports/super cars.

We haven't had the opportunity to film other cars other than the Taycan Turbo S and the 993 due to this flipping Lockdown.

Wow thank you Bobby, really appreciated. We hope to really grow the channel...getting the first 200 Subs is a flipping nightmare though. Hopefully it gets easier.
