Some of us remember advertising styles from "back in the day" so it's not such a shock to see things like that - https://www.motorpunk.co.uk/articles/easiest-job-w...
Ah the good old days. Sadly missedInitialDave said:

I don't believe that my car is worth any more, or less, than it would have been had it not have been on Jay's channel.
It might be worth a bit less if he put up a video of him crashing it...Lee Jones Jnr said:
Amusing on today’s ‘Behind The Glass’ podcast, The guy from the car sales place says he wouldn’t buy an Artura because the styling isn’t exciting enough... so he’d have a Turbo S instead...
I love Sam, but I must admit that Tony is a bit of a plonker. I also hate his continual disdain for cars older than 2 years and only liking modern things.
Did you all hear the one where he said the Mclaren F1 and Ferrari F40 were crap?
"I mean I've nevva driven' 'em or nuffink'
He's often factually wrong on a number of things that Sam never picks him up on and he is such a loud mouth.
I still listen because it's all in good fun... but I rarely take anything he has to say seriously.

Although it seems an obvious mismatch of talent like Harry Kane and whoever Mourinho throws on as a striker at Spurs, it seems to work I guess it's good advertising for Tony, who is fighting to attract punters away from Big Motoring World which is down the road from him in West Malling, Kent
One of the few YouTube uploads I look out for, if not watching HubNut flushing his aging car collection's radiators with Coca Cola, or Mat Armstrong ruining his Maserati with a hideous Liberty Walk kit, complete with ads for pubic shavers or web design software no one will care for

Since someone mentioned how Shmee over exaggerates certain words and laughs I can’t un see it
Wait till you hear the word Cheers at the end sound like a sheep baa-ing.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2kk8AOYXbw
Im a good 12 months into watching these YouTube channels and I can feel myself now becoming a little bored with many and have started to unsubscribe.
Many of the channels I once subscribed too started out with video content showing what they did day to day, or showing what they were doing within a certain project. I really enjoyed that honest, raw content. However now many have become heavily sponsored, pushing products, selling tickets for car raffles and have little content to really show. I get that this is just business and many now make a living from YouTube but that has ruined many. Trends seem to spread across these channels too, one raffles a car, then others follow. One arranges a car meet, then another one follows.
When I first started although I liked Harrys Garage it wasnt the first channel I would tend to go too. Now though I realise what top quality it is. It's easy viewing, I dont see stupid driving, revving / wheel spins, I dont hear "Bro,,,this is Sic" comments. Same with JayEmm, I find his videos easy viewing and dont have the pressured sell sell sell, although you need to sort out that hair ! :-)
I dont tend to worry about how these guys finance their cars, its their money let them get on with it. However if sponsored or somehow funded by car makers, or car dealerships then I feel they should declare that. I loved the video where JayEmm gave an insight into the world of an influencer, I thought was well done and I liked his honesty.
It will be interesting to see who is still about in 12 months time.

Indeed. Except that he didn't crash it, and has insurance for the cars he drives.
My comment was in reference to the earlier discussion around idea that people wouldn't see a crash repaired car as less desirable than a non-crashed one, and so clear published evidence of stacking it wouldnt affect value.reapercushions said:

I recall him slagging off a manual 997 GT3.2 for having a crap gear change compared with a PDK 991 GT3. The man's an arse. I also hate his continual disdain for cars older than 2 years and only liking modern things.

He's very amusing when he's antagonizing Archie Hamilton but that's just car themed entertainment. The podcast is just dreary between STGs inoffensive filler that is never very enlightening to his unchanging (and very predictable) opinion on whatever's new and old.
