Stradman did very similar. Maybe a coping mechanism. I guess its hard being in the public eye and having to get the news out there you kind of have to rip the plaster off I guess? I have been there being young like AH and its difficult.Video of his dad dying? I really don’t get it.

YT'bers will do anything for views, they have no shame and uploading a video about your recently deceased dad is in bad taste. I bet in a few days he'll upload a "normal" video like nothing happen. Video of his dad dying? I really don’t get it.
Condolences to him and his family but personal family matters should be dealt in private not YT.
People all deal with grief in very, very different ways.
I am not a particular fan of Archie's content but I have nothing but sympathy for the guy. I count myself very, very lucky that I do not know what he is feeling.
I find the suggestion that he would leverage/use something like this for any more than a coping mechanism or just a way of getting news out there very odd.
Sometimes I wonder if many commenting on this thread are far more cynical than the people they're talking about.
On this thread I consider most YouTuber related topics fair game, this one I think needs to be left well alone or handled as others have with simple condolences.

Everyone handles grief/loss in their own way. Archie's Dad not only appeared in a number of his videos, but was also an accomplished motorsport competitor and well known person in the automotive world following on from his Dad/Archie's Grandad who won Le Mans. If you don't like what Archie does, you don't have to watch it & I suggest your comments might not be agreed with by plenty of people who watch Y/T.Condolences to him and his family but personal family matters should be dealt in private not YT.

The majority of ‘his’ cars are his business partner (multi millionaire bloke who owns the production company l, bunker etc..)
Notice the Senna has ‘joined the channel’. Very carefully chosen words. Same for the Gemera.
The channel James owns is MrJWW, he mostly drives his own cars on the channel, he says "x car" has joined the garage or stable" which means it is his business partners, I think though that this "business partner" is nothing of the sort, he is a guy that has a lot of money and loves exotic cars, he likes to share them, but doesn't want to be known or in-front of the camera and doesn't have the skills to do it himself, James does it all for him and he gets content out of it.Notice the Senna has ‘joined the channel’. James and the "business partner" don't sit about chatting about what car would be good for the channel, the "business partner" buys what cars he wants and James films content with them, I would say that any car with his plates on "JWW" are his owned cars, I cannot remember a car that has joined the garage showing a plate at all.
This is what I think anyway, sort of like that GerCollector guy Tim is friends with, he never shows his face and always covers his plates up.
Not wanting to stir all this up again, but from Jame's videos I don't think he has ever lied about owning a car, he may have not been 100% but at the least 99%, he knows that he would get found out and for being his dads cars, maybe he used some of his share of family money, but this doesn't make it "his dads car".

Does it really matter who owns the cars, I would sooner see content and cars like this instead of grown men with a DB meter and traffic cone.Notice the Senna has ‘joined the channel’. Very carefully chosen words. Same for the Gemera.
People waste so much time nitpicking on whether a car is his, his dads, his business partner’s, the lease company’s etc. What does it matter? If he drives the car on the channel, pokes it with a stick and acts like he has access to the thing with impunity, who are we to judge. Best just to enjoy the footage, or not.
I do think though that James has all-ways been Mr Sensible, but he's seen that his peers are able to have a large collection of cars, Tim and Tom (TGE) and he has moved very much into the financing of cars especially with that Charles and Dean finance company he is working with, he could have sold the TDF, maybe even to his "business partner" and used the cash from the sale of the TDF as a large deposit on the 911 4.0 RS and Senna and this other up coming car, this is what I think has happened.

He must have had some change from selling the TDF.
Odd. On the Car Chat podcast not that long ago he said he’d never sell the TDF, I wonder what changed.WestyCarl said:

I knew the Plaid was fast, but watching the speed numbers increase is completely unreal. I so want a go in one just to feel it.SVJBalboni said:

People are all different. If Archie’s way of dealing with the passing of his father is to tell the world how he feels, so be it.
When my father died, everything was very private, but that’s me. I wouldn’t dream of criticising someone for finding their own way of coping.
Archie and his family have my condolences and I would imagine those of most of the people here.

As people have said, people deal with grief differently and Adrian Hamilton was a huge figure. He was even mentioned on Good Morning Britain I believe.
Have a read of the obit in Motor Sport Magazine below to get a flavour of what a huge figure he was.
