Supercars of London can't handle this sort of thing!
How difficult would it be for SOL to revive his channel? Considering he barely seems to upload anything nowadays, and the majority of what he does upload gets dismal viewing figures would it actually be possible to get it back to the decently performing channel it once was with the right uploads? Or will the algorithm have completely given up on it now?

Death does weird things to a person's state of mind and how they react. I'd give Archie a big pass as to whether it's misjudged or not.

Much respect to Archie Hamilton for the video he’s just uploaded on his (sadly) deceased father.
Yeah that was a tough one, really feel for what he is going through.

Jay-Dubz dream car, the Turbo S, didn't last long as it's been chopped in for the 720S.
Had the turbo brochure since he was a young boy, spent every day dreaming about one day buying the car (the one he could have bought years ago).....wheres that video talking about lease costs he promised after the full Charles/Pearl and Dean advert?

I've mentioned a few times in this thread why doesn't he take some professional management on? There must be a YouTube equivalent of an agency that can guide his career a bit there's huge value just in having a channel with that many a subs. He needs a manager to give him some direction. You would think his old mates Tim/STG etc would give him a nudge.

It's the comments section though....so savage and people begging him to up his game. Either he's lost interest or is one of those people on a sinking ship refusing to acknowledge the great big hole in the side of the boat. He's a really likeable guy he should be flying.

It's 100% possible.

He just needs to get his mojo back, get some focus and the audience will return.

I have a YouTube channel myself (140k subs currently) and I can confirm that your channel can go one of two ways and there is no right or wrong.

You can either be someone with an incredible number of views per video from your existing audience, this is usually personality driven rather than content driven. The upside to this is obviously your views are huge and people come back for more and therefore your channel is consistent and healthy. Here's an example of a channel that has achieved that:
https://www.youtube.com/user/maxxchewning/videos

You'll see that his titles are clickbaity, but don't attempt to attract new viewers, he relies primarily on word-of-mouth.

The downside to this is monetization, when he releases a product, sponsorship or affiliate code, the likelihood is that if someone has been watching his videos for 12 months and hasn't made any form of purchase through him it's likely they never will.

You then have the second route, which is where the majority of your videos go for the new viewer every time. This results in a high subscribers but low views.
The advantage to this is that you have a constant flow of new viewers discovering your channel and fresh and ready to make a purchase.
Here's an example of a channel which does that:
https://www.youtube.com/c/ThomasDeLauerOfficial/vi...

I suspect TGE will also be going down this route, he wants new people to come in and spend money with his businesses, his subscriber count doesn't matter to him.

It all depends on how you plan to monetize.

So in SOL's case, he probably doesn't care as much as you think about his views or comments from existing subscribers.

I am not sure how you come to that conclusion - he has done multiple videos promising to 'make it better', 'put more effort in', 'find a new direction', etc. I am sure it bothers him as his comments are full of disappointment.

He still does videos with Sam about F1, I like Sam's videos and his podcast, but I don't watch/listen the F1 videos with Paul, because Paul is on them, I think the issue is that everyone has all gone their own way and is doing their own thing now, Paul has just stuck to what worked years and years ago, Sam has said a number of times over the last few years, about a conversation with Tim about doing a group Monaco trip again like they did the previous year, but Tim said it wouldn't work going forward, this is when Tim did his own thing where he had a rented house and took along a few of his cars, where Sam and Paul along with Seb and I think James, there may have been some others, and it didn't do well at all but Tim did really well on his own.

i would think they have all tried to help Paul, but this would have been years ago surely, he's been in decline imo since he did a trip with Sam to some Caribbean island years ago for a car manufacture or tire company I think.

As for the comments on his videos, does he even read them, he never has replied or liked any of them.

I did last week have a look at channels I used to sub to, to see if they would be worth watching again and I watched a bit of his Nissan GTR video where it was on a dyno and he seemed to have changed the title as people were saying the video didn't tell them the answer to what the posed question in the title was, something like that anyway from what I could make out.

The final straw for me was the Murcielago saga, where imo he was just lying to the viewers.

Sam and Tony do lay into paul on the BTG pod. In a font easy but it's pretty obvious they have probably staged an intervention at some stage.

Years ago I was with Paul when he finally got to drive his dream car; the Murcielago. We were both chatting for ages about cars, he literally couldn’t stand still from excitement and it’s a shame that he’s clearly lost that passion in his videos.

Hopefully he finds his way again.

Police arresting people for carrying drugs

People getting in then leaving again as nothing there.

And people paid £50 a ticket for that ste

Ok, so with Archie. I see he has got himself another RS6 essentially because his dad was a big fan of them and there is an emotional connection, which I understand. If he ends up flipping this after a few months I think Archie is completely callous and a real piece of work, the emotional link he’s made with the car and this video would mean nothing. I hole that isn’t the case.

You may think that, others won't. It's up to him how long he keeps it for.

If he did his homework would have seen a festival on at the same time in the same place the plank.

Loved his post saying No revving of engines or speeding.................. Ironic that really.

Those buttons and the flocking around the door can easily be rectified for less than £100. I don’t know why he didn’t just use his platform to find a real world alternative rather than splashing out £4K? I wonder what they charge for the paint?

I had to read that twice. What is he replacing them with, presumably a diamond encrusted precious metal of some description?
