The basic episode overview for next week suggests Vinnie is still in a bad way, but on the plus side it appears that what happened in the cabin should be the gradual start of Tom's downfall.

Writers doing the usual thing with having characters forget about what happened in the recent past - in this case Jacob / Pollard seemingly not using any common sense to realise the break up was clearly driven by Leyla (as with previous issues).

Must admit, did enjoy the bit with Pollard scamming Kerry with the necklace hustle and now setting up a repayment contract assumingly to try and teach her a life lesson about what she did to her own daughter Amy (who Pollard / Val essentially cared for all those years back).

In reality Kerry could just turn round and tell Pollard to sod off, why would anyone agree and sign up to something they never asked for

I doubt it will be a full affair (especially given the upcoming storyline for Billy / Dawn) - far more likely to be a drunken pass / kiss (probably initiated by Manpreet) which will likely be witnessed by Charles / Dawn when it happens.

On a side note to the Rhona / Gus storyline, writers go way past the point of believability with what Rhona did. I doubt a real life judge would have just allowed the change in statement without halting things, etc, first, especially after a complaint from one of the parties solicitors, and also then allowing her to roam on with a free for all statement which clearly wasn't 100% true. Then there would be the issue of Rhona having that statement signed off / witnessed by Ethan and another solicitor, plus there's also the agreement that Rhona / Gus signed jointly alongside Ethan too which would be another breach.

About as believable as a randomer rocking up to the garage in a 68 plate M3 and Sarah to diagnose a loose or broken 'spark plug lead'

As you know, a mechanic wouldn't even use the term "Spark Plug lead", they would probably just say a "faulty coilpack" in the first instance.

Even in olden days they would say "HT lead".

The whole Rhona story with the baby has been terrible and I believe really shows the writers bias’s - Marlon hit the nail on the head last night, Rhona has only thought of herself and manipulated the situation to her advantage from the start. I share the legal doubts, surely the trial judge she had would have directed the jury to leave all the “mother” emotional nonsense out of their thinking and just decide whether Rhona had any legal parental rights over the child and if not did she abduct the child. She should really have been found guilty, and Gus did not deserve 8yrs for his part in it all. Still it is a soap and of course reality doesn’t come into the equation.

What a coincidence - Dawn's then unknown mum getting discharged from hospital at exactly the same time as Billy and Dawn's kid!, and then Will and Kim to turn up to make the unknown, known!
Guessing it will be Dawn's mum informing Social Services about the baby's bruising....!?
