Just watched the passenger ride in the Miura. Wow - what a car and lovely to see it being enjoyed on the road! https://youtu.be/EfnyyciCdjw

Tour ticket email went out the other day for the Kent late brake show on August 7th. Will head over as its only a couple of miles from me up the road in Betteshanger Park. Hopefully the weather stays till then! Anyone else planning to go?
I've bought a ticket. Will be travelling from Bromley. Nice to go to a car event where I don't have to be up super early!Does anyone else watch Mat Armstrong's channel? Really enjoy it - he comes across as a really nice guy. I don't necessarily like what he does to the cars, but he's the first to admit they aren't to everyone's tastes, and I love how hard-working he is and just so upbeat.
I also love a guy called Pete C (Cortina City)... he's half mad, and his videos are crazy long and rambling madness, but wow, he has some insane knowledge and the way he restored hulks to restored cars is nothing short of incredible. And he does pretty much everything himself.
Also pleased to see Tiff and VBH both on YouTube now doing decent content.
And I just have to mention Allen Millyard - the guy is the closest thing to an absolute mechanical genius I have ever seen. He needs some sort of knighthood in my book, his creations are quite stunning and his videos are.... just perfect.

Yes I took my son along as a first car event for him and an easy trip as it was only a few miles down the road. Very relaxed atmosphere and quintessentially captures the mood of the channel in a car park of cars which I thought was a neat trick.
Happy to support the work of Jonny’s channel by attending even if it was only for a few hours.

Did anyone head to the show today in Leicester?
I thought it was a great show - had a great eclectic mixture of cars, people and entertainment!
I was elevated to displaying my Exocet in the main show area, and really enjoyed chatting to so many people about their projects and my car. It looked like Jonny and Chops were running around all day to make sure it all ran smoothly - especially Chops who was clearly still suffering the after-effects of a broken leg!
Had a chat to Richard Porter, which was good, and really enjoyed the stage segments - smith n sniff Q&A, car pub quiz and an idol chat with Edd China.
Overall, I thought the show was great - big enough to have a good mix of people and cars, but not too big to lose the intimacy of what was clearly a family-led event. The only one thing I would suggest for the future would be investment in a bigger PA system, to ensure the stage segments are fully audible!
Anyway, here’s a few pics I grabbed…
I even got Mr Pop bang colour to draw the Exocet as one of his continuous cars - which I think looks great!

Yes, I was there too today and saw your Exocet for the second time in two weeks (after Stoneleigh)!I thought it was a great show - had a great eclectic mixture of cars, people and entertainment!

Echo the comments above, it was a great day out and I’d recommend the live shows to any car enthusiasts. Better still if you are a Smith and Sniff fan so you get all the in jokes/references!
I went along in my Rover 214-a really decent car day out. The “UN spec” Dacia was particularly amusing! I also got way too excited about the Kia Pride.
Very well put together, relaxed and entertaining-my only complaint is the sunburn after cloud was forecast all day and I was woefully under prepared!

I was also there (visiting not showing - a rusty z4 with a slightly green roof not really worthy) but was a very good day. Would echo the above really - stage audio needs to be louder but also the food/drink was a bit of a shambles. I don’t think the food vendors anticipated the volumes and were completely overwhelmed. My girlfriend was queuing for over an hour and a half for the pizza trailer (and it ran out of dough part way through) and then when she paid there was still a 30 minute wait for pizzas. I just don’t think they were geared up for shows with a little pizza oven.
Overall though it was a great day and will be definitely going again if it’s not too far away - maybe keep it going through winter with an indoor event?
