Jonny Smith's Late Brake Show...
Discussion
I'm picking my lad up from Donny at 9:15 so I should be there about 10:45. Really looking forward to it. I'm only in the standard parking but I'd like to have a clean car nonetheless. In meetings most of the day though so I'll have to make do with a hand wash job rather than doing it properly myself.
I'll echo all the above. A great event with a really nice atmosphere and some very interesting cars on display. I had a good chat to the chap with the Tuscan and he was kind enough to let my son have a sit in it. The underground parking contained a few gems too.
Richard and Jonny were both really nice blokes; despite talking to people constantly all day long they made it feel like every conversation was the first one they'd had. Chops was in the queue behind me at the coffee bar at one point and she was also completely lovely despite the fact that she must've had a very stressful couple of days running the event. Wherever/whenever they do another show I'll probably go again.

I went and was also lucky enough to display a car in the main arena, it was a really interesting mix of cars it wasn't about how expensive a car was but a real cross section very refreshing and no doubt a little window into the mind of the organisers.
Every chat i had was with genuine petrol heads, polite and enthusiastic he clearly has a great bunch of followers judging from the people at the show. I left my XJS doors open all day as open invite to people to jump in and sink into the 35 year old seats and have a rest.

I’m really pleased for them. Putting this kind of thing on must take a lot of balls and effort. I just hope they make money at it.
They said on twitter yesterday that the shows run at a loss but they're part of a bigger plan. Hopefully that will bear fruit as it would be a shame if they had to stop doing them.Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
