Me too. Must be something major to cancel it. Hope all is well.

Gutted that it's cancelled but it's a family concern and if the organisation of the event was putting a strain on the Smith family then it's absolutely the right decision to cancel. I've got a hotel booked so I'll head to IWM Duxford for a day instead.

If you're reading this Jonny then your reply on Twitter to the response to the cancellation came across really well as properly humbled. After the last 2 years we have all dealt with I think many are more aware than before that family and health are what are really important so you shouldn't be surprised the majority of responses were more concerned about you and the team and what lead to the cancellation that the fact the event is now not happening. Whatever the detail is and for who, I hope things improve ASAP and LBS fans will still be here for next time.

Definitely this, very well put.

The cancellation's a shame. They were still promoting it at the end of the latest S&S podcast.

So, something changed in the 24 hours since it was recorded.

Echo these comments. Plus will add another. Jonny made the point that it's a small team doing the organising. Yep, and that's one way to make sure things are just right. When things get back on an even keel don't be too proud to ask for some help. You've built up a lot of good will out here.

Agreed 100%

I sent a message via Instagram last night similar to Jules’ above. Said thank you for the content (both him and Richard) as it’s helped me out recently and basically said hope things improve and we’ll be here for you when you’re able to come back. Jonny replied offering his thanks for the support, so even through what is clearly a difficult time he’s still replying to people, class act.

They usually do stuff for the Goodwood channel rather than LBS.

They've already done a video with Smith & Sniff previewing the posh auction.

They promised it on the last podcast so maybe next week? I think they did one from their hotel last time.

Quite - I think Mr Harry M needs to add and Indy to go along with his Espada biggrin

Another great garage video, I really like these. The guy in this one is clearly another real petrolhead and nice bloke. Keep them coming Jonny, you have great content and I look forward to each next one.

Agreed, really enjoyed the latest video, Maserati Indy was something different.

Agreed on both counts. Jonny, Richard Porter, Harry M et al have given a lot of like-minded enthusiasts a home that was not catered for by the mainstream. Top Gear stopped being a car show a long time ago. Fifth Gear was/is better but still needs the broad appeal for the masses. Wheeler Dealers was a good idea and did a decent job when it started but has gone ever more down the scripted, fake jeopardy line with very wooden performances from Brewer and whoever is doing the spannering.

Self-created, edited and published material is really driving the agenda forwards. It's similar in stand up comedy; audiences are deciding for themselves what they want to watch and TV execs are being exposed for the dinosaurs that many of them are.

Are some of you lot on drugs, or just have really really bad eyesight and vision?
I tried to watch the Indy vid. I love 70s Maseratis and therefore presumed it should be really interesting.

Dear Lord in hell htf did these 2 manage to make this so utterly utterly boring?!! After 5 mins I stopped paying attention, after 7 it wasn’t even worth having it on in the background. That was absolutely painful. I think that’s 3 Late Braking things I’ve tried to watch over a yr or two and they have got worse each time.

Retired accountants in Surrey called Gerald aren’t even this dull !

That the beauty of YouTube. If a channel or creator doesn’t do it for you, then I’m sure there you’ll find one that can smile I don’t find Harrys Garage to my taste, but a lot of people do.

What I liked with the Maserati was the fact it was his dads car that he purchased new, he then tracked it down many years later and purchased it.

It is a special car for that reason.
