Jonny Smith's Late Brake Show...
Discussion
Correct me if I'm wrong but Jonny's was the first UK and in-depth review I came across, not long after watching JDM Masters do an in-depth review.
Good interview with Matt Farah on The Smoking Tire podcast. Proper car nut

His recent interviews have been very entertaining and I've enjoyed them greatly. But he is slightly cheating because they're people he knows well. The big test is whether he can keep it going beyond his circle of buddies. Hope he does.
This is a very good point. I watched one a couple of months ago with Jonny & (I think) Ian Callum and it felt a little awkward. However, I really hope he makes it work. DoctorX said:

That's a thought I had too, fair play to him, he's come out all guns blazing, and I've no doubt his car based stuff will remain great, but I REALLY hope he can keep up the calibre of "Idol chat" guests.
Tiff must be on the list, surely. This is just incredible!!

I'm pleased for Jonny, but the way he read from his notebook to make the announcement seems pretty poor. It's not the world's longest set of facts he's trying to recall, just the naming of two sponsors.
I find that a little odd. Harry just goes into his talk, why does Jonny need to write down everything he is going to say, (judging by the way he keeps glancing at is note book)?
Oh well, still like what he has to say and I (personally) find it a shame that his more down-to-earth presentation style doesn't garner the sort of viewing figures that the endlessly gurning crowd seem to get
I think he's excellent and what he is trying to do on Youtube is very admirable. I like his variety of content, manner and production quality. I really hope he can make a success of this.
The world of TV has changed and he's been an unfortunate victim of the limited amount of UK car shows being produced. There just isn't the work that he deserves to have in mainstream TV, so hats of to him for giving this a go.

Nice to see some different types of sponsor on YouTube content.
‘Car Cave‘ series sounds interesting.
Yeah, as muc as I like the RR Ghost, It's cool having a nosey round other people's sheds - a bit more attainable! Though I have explained to the Mrs that we could almost afford one if we sold the house.‘Car Cave‘ series sounds interesting.

I understand your point, to me I think it means he has missed nothing of what he wanted to say. He has had the notebook in lots of videos, but it usually contains car details not the elements of his dialog. Maybe it is a crutch. Nice one Jonny, going well now keep it up.

And I agree - I am pleased for him (and us) that he can keep making videos.

Rather than pretend he's slick and doesn't need notes and cutting the video to have a quick look, he bares all type of thing, that and its a paper pad and not an tablet, old school Dennis Norton style.

I had assumed it was part of the realistic non faff style of the videos, like the crap chairs carted in a cheep trailer he bought from his FIL.

Ahh! The Dennis Norton clipboard. Interesting prop - and at least he was consistent with it.Rather than pretend he's slick and doesn't need notes and cutting the video to have a quick look, he bares all type of thing, that and its a paper pad and not an tablet, old school Dennis Norton style.
