I’m now fairly confident I have a handle on what’s going on.

This is based on some guesswork, some comic story lines, and some Googling.

Wanda has done a deal with another character that allows her to live out an idealised life with Vision in a constructed reality on earth - a pocket dimension kind of thing. She and the other character constructed the reality, or they showed her how to/enabled her to do so. {Still think that’s right}

The other character is either Dottie, disguised[s]sting[/] her true identity as someone far more powerful, or a demon Marvel character called Mephisto, [s]or Dottie[/s] masquerading as Dottie.
{typos fixed. Still think this though now wondering whether the other character is hiding in the rabbit, and although we see Agnes/Agatha holding the rabbit, it’s actually the rabbit controlling Agnes/Agatha}

The price of the deal is Wanda’s twins. The twins are going to be the means by which the other character can get to Earth. Wanda doesn’t know that yet.
{Sticking with that for now}

Sword (good guys) know something is up but not what other than that powerful Wanda has done something they can’t get a grip on. They are trying to get into the pocket dimension to help defuse Wanda and collapse the pocket without damaging earth.
{Sword possibly less benevolent than this, and more Vision-focused}

Agnes is a well known Marvel witch, Agatha Harkness. She is in there on her own mission to protect Wanda and stop the other character’s plans for the twins. She does know the plan for the twins.
{Got the first bit. I still think Agnes isn’t the bad guy this week’s ep suggests. I think she is having her strings pulled, having initially intended to help Wanda}

The beekeeper is an agent of AIM (a bad guy outfit) who are also trying to get inside to work out what’s going on and to exploit it.
{Swung and missed}

Vision is a construct of both Wanda’s powers and the other character’s. Said other character may have some dominion over the dead, or their souls.
{Still on track}

The supporting characters are either randoms from Wanda’s life who she has dragged into the pocket, or they are dead people whose deaths have something to do with her, who the other character has plucked and dropped into the pocket.
{Not quite but less important}

The advertisement couple are Wanda and Pietro’s parents, appearing as manifestations from her fractured psyche.
{Sticking with this}

Ok. That’s me done. I’m all in now. Spin the wheel!
Going to mark my homework. Inserts above.

Not a likely outcome, but:

The kids find out Agnes killed Sparky, Billy immediately has a magical John Wick moment and offs her.

They always end too soon.

In some ways perhaps that’s a good thing? Traditional TV has episodes of fixed length, regardless of the story being told. That can lead to a lot of ‘filler’ within the episode.

So what’s the deal with Rambeau and the blue eyes and powers? Is that a known thing in Marvel-land?

Oh yes. In the ‘80s she was the first woman to have the Captain Marvel name. She’s had a few superhero names, including Photon. You might have noticed that was her mother’s airforce nickname.

Poor episode this week. Padding till the last few minutes. I love this stuff more than most yet I’m amazed at the fawning this generates. It is watchable but it’s not great.

Sorry to be the dimwit here but WTF is going on? Seriously, I really want to like this but each episode is a total chore then I come here and see how everyone is loving it and posting theories as to what’s what, but I’m not seeing any of it. Genuinely struggling with all of this.

Some people are enjoying it at a surface level but if I'm honest, to get the most out of it you need to be a bit of a Marvel nerd. There are tonnes of Easter eggs, knowing nods and Marvel comic lore for fans to geek out over in every episode. If you aren't enjoying the surface stuff and aren't a Marvel buff then I'd say it's probably not the series for you.

Wasn't the best episode this week, think they thought the surprise would make up for the rest of episode.
Although we got to see Rambeau be more "involved" this week.

I quite enjoyed the intro trailer for the surprise they did as well, thought it was quite funny.

Was the big reveal the major her mum knew or are we yet to see who this is?

Also is it me or does anyone else think Vision is more or less becoming Rik Mayall from Bottom.

One of the 'Wanda' images in the latest intro was a US license plate with a number on it, the number is Stan Lee's birth date, December 28th 1922. https://twitter.com/shrutiraoart/status/1362805777...

So if the overall runtime is correct there is at least a whole marvel movie length left smile

Nexus is a gateway to every possible reality, an international airport to all realities if you will. In each reality you have a nexus being which is supposedly a ground anchor to that reality, Wanda is a nexus being meaning she is the same person in all realities and has the ability to change reality in all of them.

So she is a walking talking reality stone? Which also happens to be red??

She was created by the mind stone, the one in Visions face. you can see loki using it in his staff when he touches people in Avengers and they follow him. Wanda uses those powers in Ultron when she changes peoples perception of reality in the ship, like Thors quip that hes not as easily fooled.

Something bigger is going on though as Agatha is a mentor to Wanda in the MCU and is also able to create illusions. Monica seems to have gained her powers but probably doesn't realise it yet though.

Agreed, this fell off a bit this week. Getting dangerously close to becoming cheesy with the Rambeau superhero stuff (comic canon or not), it’s feeling a little Agents of Shield which was definitely budget television.

Funny how people see things differently. It’s the first episode I’ve watched twice, and still thought it was excellent.

Excellent episode. Felt like it was teeing up the third act, so hard to see where exactly it's going though, a lot of pieces still in play.

Loved the Darcy / Vision stuff. Bettany hasn't got much credit in this series but he's really coming into his own now, loved the 'Jim Halpert' look he gives at one point, surely intentional given the nods to The Office in this episode.
