Good ending, there's an end credit scene if you missed it. This has been more like a Marvel film split into parts, Wandavision was a bit more out there. I've enjoyed both of them though.

Loki is the next D+ series?

Brilliant recommendation.

Not one for the kiddies though.

Entourage was almost unwatchable dross. Curb again was almost unwatchable the US Office was panned back in the day.

If that’s the baseline then I’m comfortable with my baseline that Falcon is highly watchable.
Haha!
We are all so different. I watched the last episode total, predictable gash. Both their TV series thus far are wide of the Mark. Netflix Daredevil superior in every way.

In fairness it is hard to compare DD/Punisher with Falcon. FWIW I did enjoy Falcon tremendously and appreciated the non-ramming down my throat of racial issues

Did you watch episode 5 biggrin

I quite enjoyed the ending.

Dealt with the issues a black Captain America would have had back in the day and Sam made a great statement at the end to bring about change, also good to see an emotional win for Isaiah for the end.

Also although she was revealed as the power broker, was it really her or is there someone else behind the scenes who she was on the phone to?

Loki up next in a couple of months and I can't wait

Black Captain America hits me right in the feels, Disney handled it so well.

It could be she is the real Power Broker talking to her lieutenants. Or talking to her boss the real Power Broker. Or the Power Broker could be the name of an organisation whose members each call themselves the Power Broker.
Or any better ideas the writers think up between now and when they decide to use them again.

I reckon there was probably a Power Broker in Madripoor before the blip, but Sharon deposed him and took over his empire. Probably an Asian tech billionaire, hence her access to a satellite network. Using her connections she is spreading from Madripoor to the whole world. That’s the story I will keep in my head until someone has a better idea.

The villain here was dire as well. No charisma. A bunch of civilians take the serum but suddenly they are all skilled enough fighters to hand to hand with the finest military training. Sharon’s treble agent turn predictable and Dreyfuss appeared to think she was in a comedy. Add in the CW quality costume, visible stunt performer during the cringe training montage in ep 5 and that lumpen, plodding story I was left thinking we deserved better.
Clearly not the MCU A team working on this. Glad others enjoyed it. As said, invincible transcends the fact it’s animated and through use of talented voice cast and strong plotting is a superior watch, if you like this sort of thing.

Quite liked the series but didn't really rate the finale. I feel like The Winter Soldier movie was a real Dark Knight-esque high point for Marvel and they seem to be getting further away from that return to form. Race aside I've always thought Bucky would make a better Cap, with a more satisfying character arc, and being enhanced etc, but not going to lose sleep over it.

Also thought some of this was on the nose, the whooping crowds, the insanely long speech in the street which was more like live action YouTube comments, the insanely over the top new uniform, Sharon Carter not being a compelling villain, Julia Dreyfus showing up trying to be a wit, Just missed a mark for me.

I'm disappointed they didn't do more road tests, they only tested rear seat leg room in one episode. The rest of time they were just jetting all over the place, messing around doing up boats and other silly challenges.

But at least they got rid of Chris Evans, even though they did replace him with an 90s American sitcom star.

I always give any show 2-3 episodes to give it a fair chance. But I turned Invincible off part way through ep.1
The biggest reason was it just seemed to be the same tropes rehashed as has been done a 1000 times, but vying for raison-numero-uno was the voice acting you mention. I thought the voice acting was really bad, like early secondary school annual stage play levels of bad. Maybe it improved in later episodes, but there's already a lot of other stuff I'll give time to watch before trying that again.

Falcon and Winter Soldier was enjoyable I suppose. I'm sure it's going to tie in to other Marvel/Disney stuff and it had enjoyable parts, subtle humour in places, and character arcs. It could've been better in places, but if you enjoy MCU stuff then I'm sure people will enjoy this too.

If it was re-edited and had parts re-shot so as the original story could be dropped then I doff my cap to them, because they did an excellent salvage job if that is indeed the case.

I feel we didn't really get enough time with the FlagSmashers to know the characters, and that's probably down to the rewrite.

Wandavision was a more enjoyable story-telling spin, but it's all personal faves at the end of the day.
The important thing to remember is this is all comic book stuff, so it's not to be taken too seriously, despite some of the messaging and events.

I'm hoping Loki will be good in a couple of months time, but I also hope Disney+ doesn't turn into a content creation factory using Marvel stuff as a source. I'd rather not see too much stuff being churned out...

I suspect Mama Donya, who died early in the show, might have been the charismatic leader of the Flag Smashers. Karli Morgenthau tried to continue the fight, but finds she’s out of her depth. In some ways mirroring John Walker’s attempt to live up to Steve Rogers’ legacy.

I think that that ship has sailed. If it makes money they'll be like Dennis Healey and "squeeze 'til the pips squeak"

The MCU has portrayed the Super Soldier serum as being mainly about super strength. As I recall it in the comics it enhances the brain as much as the body. Steve Rodgers can analyse and adapt to his opponents fighting style, quickly learning how to beat them. I agree the experienced soldier should absolutely win in a 1 on 1 fight with a newly enhanced street kid. But I am happy to accept they can learn fast and make him work for his victory.

Yes, I thought the same thing. Newly enhanced Joe Soap against Bucky with decades of experience and a metal arm. He shouldn't have had his "ass kicked by a little girl".

Enjoyed that. I like how they delivered on the promise of expanding the universe and giving us more back story without alienating those who will never see this.

If the last thing you saw was the shield handover in Endgame you can rock up to the next mainline MCU movie with Sam in it and just accept he is the new Captain America.

That's an impressive juggling act to manage as they're basically admitting there are no real stakes in the Disney+ stuff.

Secret Invasion is surely going to have to break that rule, it's basically an Infinity War/Endgame level story, still surprised they are doing that on TV and it not be the next big cinematic finale, the rumoured cast is insane.
