When a soap character doesn't repond when spoken to.

An example would be say a customer in a pub recieving their change, the main actor has a line but the extra just nods or smiles. In real life you would say "thanks", or "cheers".

It's obviously down to which actors/extras have speaking parts and the costs involved, but it seems unnatural.

No matter what speed you're doing, just change down and you'll go faster hehe Ford V Ferrari is a sod for it! Otherwise great film too.
Ford vs Ferrari is guilty of the bad dubbing thing too.
At the start when the doc tells Shelby (Damon) it’s time to stop racing, he hops in his 356 and canes it away. He’s accelerating up through all the gears even around tight bends and things.
After that Bale then appeared with his Brummie accent in a crap scene with his wife. I thought “This is gonna be the first film I ever leave early”.
Glad I stuck with it though. It was pretty decent.
The worst thing in that film was during an overtake at 240mph down the Mulsanne straight, taking your eyes off the road to turn and look at your foe (who looks back at you) in order to give them a moody look.

See also the Mission Impossible film with Thandie Newton in it, when in the car chase, the cars somehow get locked together and they are spinning out of control towards a cliff edge, and they find the time to pout and smoulder at each other.

well... if it's on the Film section.

Someone picking up a small Alu case with one hand "there's 10 million dollars CASH, don't lose it". It's one of those things that could be much more plausible, but I think gets killed by committee during filming, I don't know if it's Americans in general or just on TV but they seem to feel the need to use "cash" to really emphasize the idea in viewers minds it's valuable / untraceable or whatever, there are far better, smaller physical items of high value they could use and because they think audiences aren't amazed by real world life-changing sums anymore, Heist Inflation has gone through the roof!

Again, 'Heat' does this really well, the huge bales of cash you see in the final heist is conceivably around $12m, it takes 3 large strong men (Neil and Chris are former US Marines) carrying 3 large heavy bags to shift it. $1m in fresh, dry (pre plastic money does actually get a little heavier during circulation) weights about 9Kgs, so Neil, Chris and Michael walked out carrying about 36Kgs each in those bags.

What about when you can see the back/side of an actors head who is talking in the scene, but it's obvious they aren't really talking, jaw doesn't move, head stays completely still.

I know they shoot the same scene multiple times from different camera angles and then edit together to produce the finished scene, but it annoys me, especially from the other camera angle, the actor is way more animated when speaking.

Good guy with a gun (when aiming at inconsequential extra or bit part person): Headshot with a pistol at 200 yards whilst both are moving.
Bad guy with a gun (when aiming at inconsequential extra or bit part person): Headshot with a pistol at 200 yards whilst both are moving.

Main good guy with gun meets main bad guy with gun: Both develop the aiming accuracy of a guard in Goldeneye on the N64, give up, throw perfectly good guns away and have some sort of fisticuffs. Every. Feckin. Time. I'd like to single out Assassins as the worst culprit, because the only shots either miss in the entire film are when the 2 of them are directly next to each other.

Like I said many times now, this does not need to be film or tv related but got moved here for NO reason.
In saying that here’s another.
Cut to aerial shot of any major city and they need to show a huge title saying ‘Paris’ just in case the Eiffel Tower was not enough of clue.

Bonus points for Paris, France. OK, there's Paris, Texas, but it doesn't have a thousand foot high Meccano set in the middle of it.

We've already got a 'annoying beyond reason' thread that is many many pages long. I thought this was a sepcific Film/TV one.

Multiple threads of the same topic, it shouldn't bother me but......

Whenever a lead character arrives at a plot point, when they get out of the car they always leave the windows open or the top down. And never lock it, unless they make the 1980s "plip plip" noise.
And they always park directly outside the building, not in the multistory at the back (unless they need to be attacked), 50 story building with 5,000 people working in it in the middle of a city centre, drive right up to the front door, abandon car, leave roof open and walk up the front steps to have a jovial encounter with the reception security guy.

Veering very off topic here, but if Jet Li taking apart Mel Gibson's gun while being held at gunpoint in Lethal Weapon annoyed you, here's an interesting video about how it could be done and interestingly it turns out to be plausible . Unlikely, but technically possible to do.

As a new guy I wasn’t aware of the old topic and not sure that can be addressed other than trawling every thread just in case but fair enough

Chris Harris.
He falls into the category of people who clap themselves on tv, which should carry the death penalty. Harris is a big one for this, when they show one of his films on Top Gear, cut back to the studio, and he joins in the clapping with the audience. tt.

People do it on quiz shows two, when they get the right answer and join the audience in the clapping. Utter morons.
Maybe he is applauding the time and effort that the rest of the crew put into the film rather than his own performance?

Just a thought.
