Before my time (born in ‘65), but most of those were on TV when I was small. I’ve dipped in and out of watching them on Vintage TV. They really were dreadful.
But I guess nostalgia, like love, is blind.

The Forest Rangers, The Double Deckers and The Kids from 47a along with e.g. Flash Gordon, Lone Ranger and, I think Laurel and Hardy are what I remember of Saturday morning cinema, in my case viewed at the Ace State: Your Local Luxury (oh no it wasn't!) Cinema, just off Barkingside High Street by the Fullwell Cross roundabout.

This would have been early 1970s, a shilling or so in my pocket and off to the cinema to watch programmes in colour (that were filmed in colour). B&w tv in my house until around 1975.

We moved to Clayhall in 1977. Barkingside would have been our local cinema. However the ABC on Ilford High Road was my regular. Mum worked there because we’d lived near it previously, and I got free entry.

Saturday morning pictures in the 1950's - 2 hours of unsupervised juvenile mayhem, at least it was at our local fleapit!

Jamboree bag of sweets, pocketful of missiles and a Davy Crockett hat. Cheering the goodies, booing the baddies and singing our heads off -
pocket money well spent!

Being from an RAF family all the RAF camp Cinemas were called Astra .
My memories are of RAF Catterick in the mid 60s and Saturday mornings watching all the pop films by the likes of the Dave Clarke Five etc as well as the usual B movies.
