Clarkson’s Farm

Gerald's lips don't match the sounds, and at the final round-up at the end of Ep8, and during bits of the harvest, he was quite understandable.
Some audio trickery going on there.
Otherwise, brilliant. Surprised they didn't show any pest probllems/control, but then that would probably be a big red flag for sensitive viewers.
Careful! You're going to get called all kinds of things now, by people who don't agree with you, and assume you're only saying this because you're a troll. Some audio trickery going on there.

I have no doubt that Clarkson has been paid pretty well for the show, but I would be surprised if Kaleb, Charlie and Gerald were actually paid to appear. No doubt they were paid for their services, and possibly paid a touch more than usual on the grounds they would have to appear on camera (which most people don't want to do), but I doubt we are talking about giving them £50k each or whatever just because they were on TV.
It was probably more along the lines of "We would like to hire you at your usual rate, but you'll also get to appear on TV which will promote you as a person and promote your business"
I think there are minimum 'union' rates for any TV speaking role such as these. And I suspect JC paid for the 350Z and having it done up though the usual GT channels :-)It was probably more along the lines of "We would like to hire you at your usual rate, but you'll also get to appear on TV which will promote you as a person and promote your business"
I bet they'll all be after significantly more next series though.

Hi all,
And yes the traffic has been a nightmare but I think a few people are going into the village to use the shop/cafe/pub so it’s a win for me (as a local there are many ways to avoid the traffic)
which is what we did - visited The Tea Set... nice little place with great grub and excellent service And yes the traffic has been a nightmare but I think a few people are going into the village to use the shop/cafe/pub so it’s a win for me (as a local there are many ways to avoid the traffic)
Really enjoyed this, like any others my wife watched the last episode with me last night, she would never watch TG or anything car related. She probably won't watch it but she did snigger a few times.
I've not enjoyed a programme as much for a while, really interesting and massive respect for the farmers (I'm one of them questioning why they are on an A road holding up traffic at peak times, I know now!).
Learnt lots and loved the other characters along the way.
Genuinely hope they do a second series.

Great 'behind the scenes' interview here:

Seems much more 'real' as its with Farmers Weekly rather than some tabloid.

I think it would be nice if Harry was able to get Jezza on one of his Harry's Farm videos.
Do you?Watched it all loved every episode
The sheep episode and scenes were the best. There was no messing about by clarkson just genuine affection for the sheep and his reactions were funny when a lamb had to be castrated or sad when a lamb died.
The locals made it enjoyable with thier own ways of life and not being star struck by clarkson. Just seeing his as another person not some famous multi millionaire.
Best farming series......
....in the world!

I wonder what the local farmers opinion of him is? Im guessing they see him as a 'wannabe' farmer with all the gear and no idea. I wonder if they accept him, like him or laugh at him? I imagine the farming community is quite a cliquey one that repels outsiders that can't trace farming blood back to at least seven generations.

I suppose they would laugh at him a bit, like with the sheep and seeding not leaving the tramlines in the correct place, (I do think there is some logic in what Jezza did, with sat nav and some computers to control the seeder it must be possible) but you can clearly see he is trying and also people will know Kaleb and get info from him on what is what and he doesn't seem to be a guy that is going to put up with a time-waster.Jezza is also highlighting farming issues that usually don't get in the press and they can also sell stuff in his shop.
That guy with the combine seemed like a nice chap.
I cannot see the local farmers picking a fight with Jezza because I would think that they would have more to lose than Jezza, also he's far from the stupid oaf that he's deemed to be.

Having subscribed to Harry's Farm and seen some trailers of Clarkson's Farm on YouTube the YT algorithm is suggesting lots of farming videos for me, including this review of Clarkson's Farm by some real farmers.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jex_9ZmeVaI&ab...
In summary, they liked it and thought it was a good balance of being informative whilst entertaining.
