LOKI - Marvel's best TV Series To Date?
Discussion
Finally watched s2 and really enjoyed the nuance of the relationships and the development of the character. The acting was fantastic, particularly Majors and Hiddlestone; but it was generally well casted across the board and it’s well worth googling the Miss Minutes actresss for her hour glass figure.
The presentation of the series was excellent — the set design was curated and thoughtful (okay, quite a strong vibe of S1 Umbrella Academy) and the soundtrack, excellent.

I finished off the show after not watching it for a while .... Would have to say that they wasted the chance of really making something special.
The concept was solid, the production value was high and the acting was mostly decent but it was just written in such a disjointed, hopping-all-over-the-place way with uneven pacing. It just didn't hold my attention (hence why I forgot to watch it for a couple of months...).

I didn't realise until Tom mentioned it on the Radio 2 that Ke Huy Quan, who plays OB, was also Shorty in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
Apparently he gave up acting in the 90s due to lack of work and only returned to it in 2022 for Everything Everywhere All at Once, for which he won an Oscar!

Apologies, I've not read back 16 pages. Quick question, is Loki something I can just dip into and watch without knowing much about Marvel or back stories? Thanks
It doesn't feature too much crossover with other MCU characters .. , unless you count Kang who is being built up as a major baddie for the Mulitiverse stories in the MCU. But most of the Kang screentime has been in Loki itself and then recently in Ant-Man 3.There was a brief bit crossing over with the first Avengers movie right at the start of S1 to explain how this version of Loki comes to be.

Just caught up so had been avoiding this thread. Enjoyed it, but didn’t grab me like the first series.
Had to google to confirm, but Mobius / Owen Wilson’s Jetski showroom was the Ace Cafe in London. My wife was surprisingly unimpressed by this excited observation.
No way! How did I not realise that?Had to google to confirm, but Mobius / Owen Wilson’s Jetski showroom was the Ace Cafe in London. My wife was surprisingly unimpressed by this excited observation.
