Harry, Matt, Jack, Ian Tyrell, Tavarish are the ones I watch…..

…..common denominator?

No fking ego……talk to you and not down to “your level”…..

Plus they not trying to be the next Jeremy bleeding Clarkson…or telling you how great their life is to have all these exotic cars on finance…

The above is true. I do hope he finds his mojo again. But for me Tony puts me off the podcast.
For me, Tony is the main reason I tune in: mainly for his genuinely knowledgeable insights into the car trade. I have recently struggled to listen to Sam because of the constant drift into silly voices. If he stuck to normal mode, I'd be more inclined to stay listening

Tony used to be amusing but now his hatred of any car older than 3 years is just tedious. He says things like the 458 Challenge Stradale are st, just to try and be edgy and different and it's boring.
I do agree about STG in general, I used to watch all his videos but now they're all boring as hell sadly - 30 minutes of him driving without any meaningful analysis.

Unexpected upload from CarThrottle

Couple of new guys hosting, though they have briefly featured on the channel in the distant past.

They confirm quite early on that 'the guys have moved on'.
Fair play to them for giving it go but that channel is dead now really, no money for projects etc.

For the fans of slow YouTube, I have found this video a joy to watch:

Apologies if it’s been mentioned but the rob moore interview on Carl Hartley is very good. I’m just over an hour in and enjoying the insight to the super/hyper car world.

I have been invited three different times by three different people to go on that podcast, yet never once by the actual man himself!

Agree with the above comments. STG is well off the boil for me at the moment. The CS content is very interesting, but it's sparse.

It's clear he is rinsing the short NYC trip for all it's worth, now on the 3rd video.

I've also dropped off Tim's channel as well recently. I just can't get excited about other peoples hypercars. I actually really enjoyed the Shmuseum content way more than any road trip of his.

I think for me it is escapism and day dreaming about things that inspire me. As I've gotten older I am considerably less inspired by shiny carbon unobtanium and more interested in the possibility of me (Probably never, but day dreaming) buying some ratty old 911 and fixing it up in my garage.

Anyone know the reason for some popular youtubers creating multiple channels and actively posting videos to them all? As expected videos launched on a different channel with less subscribers gets less views so why have the 2nd channel if you are setting your self up for lower views?

Does youtube cap a channels income so it makes sense to have more than one channel?

For autoalex I am guessing its maybe a profit split as some presenters go solo on alex2 but then you have hoovies garage with several channels with his latest one being "little hoovies garage", videos on this channel are getting sub 50k versus 500k on his main channel for videos that take the same LOE.

Matt Armstrong is another one, channels are very similar so why have 2?

Just using spare content really although with Matt Armstrong 2 it's a mix of bits that don't fit with the flow of the main channel plus it's more blog like.

I have noticed this even with much smaller channels as well. Any Barum Engines fans? They did this as well which on the face of it seems a bit strange to be splitting the views between 2 channels especially in a still reasonably small channel.

Car Wizard just passed a million subs.

Not bad for Hoovies mechanic.
But how many are real, gets a few big hit videos now and then, but most averages around the 100k per video which is one of the lowest return on subs that I see.

Why must people on here be so negative? Does it make you feel better to put a downer on someone else's success?

How is your channel coming along? If you even have one

I don't think that's negative at all, just an observation. There was someone on here with a youtube channel that only had a handful of subscribers speaking on behalf of all youtubers earlier this week. That's equally weird to me.

Wind your neck in like a good lad.

As poster above said, just an observation, a curious one (similar to my curious question earlier), is that not what a forum is about?

This thread is just a sespit of negativity towards people who have actually bothered to pursue their hobby/dream etc.

I guess it's just the usual British mentality.

I wouldn't bother, you'll never beat the keyboard warriors, can you imagine any of them voicing their observations in person !

New AutoAlex episode they've gone out and bought a Kei car. I do love these little things and have considered a few times over the years of getting one just never been brave enough to actually do it.

They are massively at an advantage with buyo g cars though and it's almost cringey how they agree a price and still knock more off, whether it's for entertainer value for the channel or what not I don't know.

Generally don't mind AutoAlex even if the constant word count for "my unit" is usually quite high and feels more of a brag.
