Anyway.
Another great video from STG. Lucky lucky man getting invited on that trip. However from how I understood it, Porsche only fielded up the cars with synthetic fuels from the plant to the first hotel. Then filled up with dinosaur juice for the rest of the video?
Yup that’s the whole point, you can mix synthetic fuel with dino juice without issue. In the real world that’s quite encouraging for adoption Another great video from STG. Don't tend to watch much Drivetribe stuff but this video is brilliant, and is Richard Hammond at his absolute best. Not playing up to the cameras, not trying too hard but just being himself. The way he manages to convey his feelings about 'his' road is pretty special I think and not something many would be able to do.

Given that the synth fuels are currently about £100 a litre I’m not sure even Porsche would splash that much money on a YouTuber
According to Sam and Tony its the future. I wonder if the costs will ever come down to acceptable levels for the general public. Gonna be for the powerfully built ph directors with their Lamborghini’s I think

According to Sam and Tony its the future. I wonder if the costs will ever come down to acceptable levels for the general public. What they all fail to mention, when saying 'they'll be down to £5/litre eventually' is that Shell and BP both estimate it'll be TWENTY YEARS before it gets to that cost. I think it's great that efuels will be available to keep supercars and classics running, but people really need to get it out of their head that they'll be the saviour of the piston engine and they'll be able to keep driving their ICE car forever. The simple fact is this:
Daily transport for people and short range LCV (last-mile stuff) - EV
LCV, HGV, Farming, plant etc - hydrogen
Supercars, classics etc - synth fuels.
It can NEVER be one solution. The sooner people realise this and stop automatically bashing anything EV by randomly shouting 'Hydrogen!' or 'Efuels!' the better.

Any industrial/logistics applications like LGVs/HGVs, Shipping, Aerospace, Farming, construction will all be dependent on fossil fuels for well into the next few decades. Once you understand the sheer amount of those sectors running behind the scenes to keep the world going round, then you'd understand why there's no way Hydrogen could feasibly replace more than a miniscule percentage of all those activities both in the UK and worldwideDaily transport for people and short range LCV (last-mile stuff) - EV

I'm talking about this three-pronged solution for the future. 15, 20, 30 years from now. And there's always a lead-in.
What about motorbikes for single person use? As long as plonkers don’t remove the emissions hardware? A new Honda CB750 Hornet is 100g/km. My little CB125R is 50g/km.Doofus said:

Just seen Tavarish has spent over half a million buying the infamous yellow flood damaged P1.
After blowing his other one up but seems to know what he is doing.InformationSuperHighway said:
The man certainly has some kahunas taking on that P1.
I loved the joy when he realized the rear e-brake caliper motors still worked!
It’s going to be an awesome series. I just hope he sticks to it and makes quick progress.
Epic project but I am struggling to see whart he is going to do with the car, how I understand it is that it has a destruction title so should be crushed, how is he going to get it back on the road?I loved the joy when he realized the rear e-brake caliper motors still worked!

His channel falls slightly on the wrong side of the buy cars/fix cars balance for me. I prefer to see people like M539 doing in-detail repair and upgrade work, rather than a video just talking about a car they've bought. I fear LegitStreetCars is heading this way too.My default remains M539, JayEmm, Harry's Garage and strangely, AutoAlex... the latter, I didn't really have much interest for in the Car Throttle format but the new stuff is actually pretty decent, seems much more levelled, less alpha male and some interesting content - has a much more genuine feel to it, less acting and all the better for it!
